Hi guys, can a 2017 Tacoma Limited do mild off roading? I'm assuming I'd have to replace the stock tires correct?

Too poor to list anything interesting.
What do you consider mild off-roading?

Thanks! Also question for you, looks like you have a shell on your Tacoma. Do you by any chance know how much it weighs and can one person remove and install it easily?

Anything that is not on pavement lol. Newbie here but I'd like to take it out on dirt roads on a few camping grounds in NC and maybe cross some small creeks? Had a Jeep GC a few years back that was supposed to be decent on dirt and mud but it pretty much got stuck every single time. Maybe I had the wrong tires or had no idea what I was doing...

Limited off road is fine. I use mine a few times a month out on a ranch when I go shoot some guns. If you plan on going out when it just rained, make sure you get some better tires.

Depending on the type of mud and dept, you may have issues. But generic dirt you should be fine with. I took my stock truck with stock tires out to a national park (Big Bend) to do some "off-roading" and it handled all trails fine.

Good video! With your music choice I keep waiting for the truck to stop, a horde of zombies attack, four ninjas jump out of the back and cut off the zombie's heads...

How did the stock tires hold up out there? I've been told the trails out there are hard on tires, and it is a good idea to bring two spares or a good patching kit.

I put mine on and off solo probably once a month on average. I use a lift in my garage though, with 2x4s supporting it, then I get in the bed and lift it with my back and remove the 2x4s. I've done it a couple times without the lift, would not recommend.

Stocks were fine. It's the state park where you may run into trouble.

the majority of what people these days call "off-roading" we called "dirt roads" where i come from. and everybody drove on them all the time with whatever beat ass car they owned, because they were the majority of the road system.

now for some reason every time the pavement turns to dirt everybody needs to switch into 4HI and air down like it's the apocalypse.

i guess for instagram or something
