Yeah, it was good work while I was out on the road. I averaged 18 hour days, I would come home tired, covered in dirt and whatever grime was around, but I always felt that I accomplished something good.

Agreed man, with those sort of hours I bet a comraderie might also have developed with guys that were pushing at the same level on the job. It does feel good to seize opportunity to help out a fellow worker when its needed on the job too. At my office, its all independent results.

I don't ever want to make the claim that I was in any warzone. I may have been shot at sometimes, but my feet were always on US soil, US/Mexico border to be specific. You guys in the military though, lots of props, if I were in that area there would have been many more changes of undergarments.

It was educational out there, but I got more close to death on the Canadian US border. Despite the stereotype Canadians are not very nice, especially at the international border.

I guess it was all about expectations, on the southern border you always look at their hands when they're crossing border, body language, tone of voice, etc. 99% of the Mexican citizens crossing the border are normal people going to their jobs in the US in the morning, then crossing back into Mexico to have dinner and be with their families, rinse repeat.

Canadian border though, most of them cross into the US feeling that they have every right to be here and to cross without question. Always make eye contact with the driver at the crossing point. I've had several look me straight in the eye and still proceed down the lane without any thought of stopping. So an officer gets to walk in front of their vehicle with a weapon drawn because they were too impatient for us to get our work done. There is a general lack of respect for the border officers with Canada, they don't even like their own guys (CBSA).

Yeah, it seems to be the easiest way to go and there is a healthy aftermarket of attachments for it.

Do you by any chance know how much space you have between the panel and the back wall of the cab? Would there be enough space back there to utilize for anything? Maybe lesser used items since it looks like I would have to pull the whole thing off to get back there.....

Since it bolts to the same bolts that holds the storage bins its pretty much tight. I would not put anything back there. Plus having to take 8 bolts out everytime you want something would suck. If you do get one i would go ahead and sound deaden the back wall. Not bad with road noise but i can tell its there. Wish i would have went ahead done it instead of waiting till later. Like i said though it really dont need it but i would just like it.

Yeah. I noticed that after I posted. I was initially just looking at the cap/rack and didn't see it.
