I AM a techie, do full time IT, been head of department for 15 years, and I don't even wanna know about what you guys are talking about. Smoking meat old-school style is my relief from all this tech krap :) But hey, I aint knocking it, just not my bag, baby.

Firmware on the grill. Click the WiFi mode once you get it on the peer to peer network.

Mop-I have two a bigger one & a smaller one. I hate both of them. They waste so much much sauce. Has there ever been a Fix for this?

I had to update to software on the grill inorder to have it on my home nework.

Before the software update I had to switch WiFi networks to check the grill and then back to surf the net. Now I dont have to switch.

    1st world problems.

I don't really sauce much other than chicken, but I use a little silicone brush like this one:

Haven't posted forever. Been working weird hours. So my grilling game has been a little slow, but I do get to play every now and then.

I use the Weber basting container for thin sauces like Italian dressing & Cornell chicken BBQ sauce and hold at an angle and lightly pour them out and use the brush to baste. Although I have the Weber brush pictured I have a lot longer handled offset head silicone brush that I use most often. When basting heat is usually low enough I could use the shorter Weber brush but find the offset head longer handled one works better for me.

Yup, way better that what I usually work with (old-style dial meat/candy thermo). I have what I need for the WSM, but wanted a small instant read for various other things on the gas grill.
