    Clear the drain line coming out of it. Prob some clear plastic tubing out of the low part of the pan.

    Yes there should be a drain that runs outside.

    John's right, either clean the hose that drains the pan or, if there isn't a drain, then run one yourself. Absolutely silly for there not to be one. If that pan doesn't have a drain, it might be an emergency catch pan or an overflow pan. The unit itself may have a means to drain condensate and that one may be clogged, causing that secondary pan to overflow.

    Messy, sure, but my experience with it has done nothing but impress me. I went through (4) New England winters and my frame was effectively spotless outside of where the factory finish was chipped off by rocks / road debris. My best friend bought an Xterra the same time I bought mine and didn't coat his frame and the difference was night and day (not apples to apples, but Nissans aren't known for frame issues like Toyota). I checked out a few 2012-2013 trucks to compare to mine and it was world's different.

    Is it cumbersome to work on the frame with the coating, sure, but I'm confident my frame would have lasted significantly longer than the average Tacoma frame because of all the FF I sprayed on it. I just wore gloves when I did my suspension that I tossed when I was done.

    It must be an emergency drain because i do have a float sensor. When the water gets too high it shuts the ac off thus no more water. No drain has me on my nerves

    Not much you can do. Get some 3m vinyl coating on then maybe. Otherwise fluid film The crap out of them, especially in the winter.

    And the rust doesn't mean they went perform as designed. The zinc coating is actually meant to rust (anode) so the base metal doesn't corrode. It does look dumpy though

    I'm going to give the mavcoat a try this winter and see how that works out with the Kings.. which might not even work out at all since I might be buying a beater for the fall. haha

    I'd get neoprene covers for the Kings. Maybe cover with fluid film before wrapping in the cover for extra piece of mind

    Everyone I know that's run the covers only had moisture trapped inside them and it made it worse. (these sleeves have been around for years in the tuner scene)

    Anyone here make a 40+ minute commute to work everyday? Wondering if I should make the taco more MPG friendly, or buy an eco-beater.

    I'm over 40 minutes each way. I've done the math out a few times and an eco beater just doesn't make sense. By the time I buy a vehicle, insure it, keep fuel in it and even leave out the maintenance costs (figuring that if I'm maintaining that, the truck would be sitting), the math doesn't work. I don't drive enough miles to even make me break even in a relatively reasonable amount of time. For my calcs, I'm using 18 MPG for the truck and figuring 30 MPG for a beater car.

    I'm right there at 40 minutes each way. I don't think it's horrible, but my point of comparison is a commute to Waltham that was easily two hours each way.

    I drive about 40-75 miles a day. Was driving the taco everyday but the E load MT tires are far from highway spec. Bought a $400 POS corolla and been driving it for the past 6 months. Much happier!!

    Damn I thought my 30 minutes to the last shop I worked at was somewhat long. Sometimes I would have a 6 hour drive, sometimes longer, (when they had their machinist travel with their trailer with a lathe, Bridgeport and small blast cabinet :D ) like Niagara Falls, and a few other places

    I did that calculation once when I was looking at a mighty commute for a job I ultimately didn't get. At the time the price of gas was significantly higher and I was using the STi with premium fuel as my base point. I used the $9,999 MSRP Nissan Versa Base 1.6L as my beater car and the math sorta worked when it was $4.xx / gallon, but otherwise it didn't work.

    For what it's worth, I never found much of a MPG difference between my BFG ATs and my highway tread snow tires. I know that winter fuel causes a bit of a MPG drop, but for 1-2 MPG, the math would take a long time to prove out a second set of tires.

    One benefit to a second set of tires is how cheap they are... I have a set of 29" tires for when I used to commute my truck and I could buy two tires for the cost of one of my 33" tires
