For all of you guys changing out wheels and tires, I'm on the prowl for a set of take-off's (TRD Off Road like the set above) for my white SR DC. The only caveat is I want them with the TPMS sensors installed, and will pay more to get them that way. I'd prefer they be dealer take-off's with the lowest mileage possible.

Every one of these trucks, dealer take offs included need TPMS sensors. Chances of finding a set with them still installed is somewhere between slim and none. Best bet is going to be to open your wallet and buy some from Americas Tire/ Discount Tire. Be a hell of a lot easier than trying to track down the unicorn that you are currently chasing

My set didn't have them but I work at a shop and used to be a tire technician so it wasn't a big deal taking the sensors off my SR5 wheels and putting them onto the new wheels.

Alloy to alloy is not an issue, but steel to alloy is. I think the biggest market for take-off's is folks going from steel to alloy, so it makes it much more attractive for a buyer if the TPMS is included. It's probably an argument that has no end, and this is one persons, one-sided perspective.

Didn't even think about the steel wheel sensors, makes sense.

Posted in the wheel tire thread already. Threw some temp wheels on new tires today while I wait for our machine shop to cut our next off-road wheel.
