    I'm certainly no expert in this area, but if it were me, I'd chase all threads with a tap, use sandpaper to clean paint from any press fit contact areas, etc....

    I recently did hub bearing assemblies on a buddy's Dodge. He had them apart at some point, then put the hubs back on while paint was wet. When we took them apart recently, I thought we were gonna need dynamite. The Dodge bearings/spindles go together with a slight taper fit. Those babies were wedged in mighty damn tight.

    Clean the bolt holes out. Looks like they are rusted. Spray some PB in there and let it sit. Should be easy enough. The inner part of the spindle though doesn't need paint in it, it needs grease in it. There is an inside seal that goes there that keeps grease in to lubricate the wheel bearing and inherently keeps everything else out. Paint chips, although possibly small, will prematurely deteriate that bearing. Just sand paper that shit off.

    Oh and dude was gonna sell them to me for 270 .....
