I think there has been some miscommunication on my part in my explanation and misunderstanding from others about how intermittent fasting works. Or maybe everyone is an expert here and knows all about it.. I can't say. That's okay... maybe later after work I will try to explain what I have done previously over the years. My failed attempts and successes. Everyone has a neat story and how they accomplish their goals.

I won't go into the science of intermittent fasting because I don't want it to come off like I am saying what anyone else is doing is wrong. I don't feel that way, for me, this works. If you have some time, you can check out a few things on your own. A couple references would be leangains.com and "The Hodge Twins" just for easy reference. There are also tons of articles and research done on a quick google search. Doing the google searches is what I would recommend if you are actually interested in learning about how it effects your body and the way it works. Not just "before and after" type shit.

I was cutting calories to drop weight. Now I am increasing them to help feed and build muscle. When I stated I want to build muscle and burn fat, I think that sent some people on a tangent. I will build muscle, muscle eats uses fat to thrive and grow. In that sense, burn fat. Not by trying to bulk up and eat in a huge deficit thinking some magic will happen and all of the sudden overnight I will be 160lbs at 8%. I completely understand that is NOT how it works. You don't get to bulk up in size and then eat like a rabbit. I will still do intermittent fasting because of how it uses the bodies natural hormones to produce results both physically and mentally. However, WHILE doing intermittent fasting I increase my consumption. ....Should have never said I don't count macros. With my meal prep for lunches, I know my macros. For meal planning my dinners, I use an educated assumption based on the portions I have and knowledge of what is in the foods. I don't weigh every morsel. I change and and adapt as needed. My end goal (which is truly ever changing) is to be between 155-160lbs and lean (maybe 12-18% bf). I haven't reached that yet, so when I get there, the goals could change and I will make adjustments to achieve the current goal. When I get there I will make changes to maintain the goal. Unless I reach it and decide on a new goal, then I will adjust to achieve. It is a constant cycle of learning and adapting.

Take that as you will. If there is a cycle, I would consider myself in acceptance. I know that there are people who do things differently and thats great. It would be boring otherwise.

My first few goes at meal prep took all damn day. Boiling potatoes, cooking vegetables, baking chicken, boiling rice, etc...

Then I got a rice cooker, nixed the veggies (except potatoes), and crock-potted all my chicken and I could prep in 2-3 hours

5'11". My goal weight is 200-210 and ~10% bf. currently at 189 and ~13-15%

That sounds delish. When I start my bulk in a few months, I've already got buffalo chicken dip incorporated. Grilled chicken, hot sauce, ranch powder, and cream cheese  Can't friggin wait

I can vouch for him on that one.

Source: am aware he knows an azn

I make sure to eat shit that doesn't take forever to cook. The biggest things for me are ground turkey and grilled chicken. Takes probably 15 mins. I also stagger everything so I'm not doing everything at once. I probably spend 2 days a week cooking (30 mins total) and about 10 mins before bed getting shit ready for the next day.

i just realized that made no sense. But for real though just let him do his thang and let him make gainz the way he wants to. The best thing is do what you think works the best for you and learn from your mistakes and all that crap.

I make 42 meals every Sunday. I put a days in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. Then from there each morning I pull out the next days food and let it thaw. My rice doesn't seem to suffer
