This topic got shut down & deleted earlier today - here's hoping for a nice discussion so it can stay.

The Ridgeline obviously isn't for everyone but the independent rear suspension has its benefits.

And the Edmunds guys went too fast with too high of tire pressure for that road.

Bilstein has had some poor quality issues lately. My 5100s gave out after 10000 miles.

This video is actually kinda funny. Melted shock boots and smoking shocks on the live rear axle trucks.

Personally, I always air down once the tires hit dirt to soften the ride. I'm a little surprised by the result myself.

Agreed. First off, who outruns the gear truck? He supposedly works for Edmunds. He can't be that numb.

Also, the clip shows the walkies. So they had no idea the Nissan was parked? Again, either shame for being out of range or out running.

It's deffinenlty possible, but I'm guess it's a bit fabricated.

I was very impressed by the ridgeline when I drove it. I honestly feel it is a great truck

basically they abused 3 trucks by running them way too fast offroad with too high of PSI. I take this with a grain of salt, it's clearly promoting the Ridgeline, so they barely touch on the fact it's shocks had issues too.

Not saying the Tacoma is almighty, I just hate advertising cloaked as an unbiased review.

I haven't been to the Racetrack for 30 years, but back then there were quite a few Civics and Corollas there. And I drove the entire Death Valley Road from Big Pine to Ubehebe Crater a few years back in my Subaru, worst washboard I've ever encountered, experimenting with speeds from 1st gear crawl to 3rd gear floating over the corrugations. Never occurred to me to worry about my shocks. Now tires, that was a different story. That said, my TRD OR Bilsteins that felt so good when new, now feel just ike any other OEM shock after 35K miles. But no leaks.

Consumer reports has the same opinion. They want a car, not a truck. The pros have Fox shocks, not Bilstein, right?
