Hybrid Theory is one of my all time favorite albums. It's one of those albums that I thought ever song was good on it. To me it's rare that I like half the songs on an album let alone the entire thing. They were an amazing group. Sucks.

I know it's super obvious now, but holy shit, just read the song titles of their latest album. I didn't even know they had released one this year but EVERY SONG and EVERY LYRIC could be pointed to a mind wanting to commit suicide.

Yes they've always kind of been an alternative emo band, but this album particularly stands out...wow.

Guess people never questioned it as he was an "artist," which is ironic because most artists have some kind of mental instability one way or another which allows them to be an artist.

 

right. it may seem just blatantly obvious to me now, considering the situation...but still, just wow.

 

Call me bitter, but I'm the same way. Not because I don't care but because people die everyday and people don't bat an eye. An average of 22 veterans commit suicide everyday, yet few people know this. Did these celebrities really have THAT much of an impact on so many peoples lives? Or is it some social thing to be all boo-hoo about it because otherwise you look like an ass?

Anyways end rant. It is rather peculiar to hear this news. I've been listening to more of his music the last few days and heard an ad with him talking about their music on Pandora. So that part is kinda eerie.
