    It's super straight forward, basic hand tools will do. Your gonna want to have some wobbles, ujoints, or gloves.

    There was a guy on here saying he had to rebuild the starter in the engine bay because he couldn't get it out. I can't remember why, but it seemed like maybe it had to do with what trans you have auto or manual. Some said they could Tetris it out with either trans so leave yourself some time to figure it out if the starter is at least working a little and order your parts ahead of time so you don't have to pay dealership prices!

    Here's the job done on a 4Runner with a 3.4 5vz:

    I have an auto trans and have been trying to figure out how to remove it because its tucked away and there are a lot of hoses that block it from being released but ill watch the video and see what i can learn, thanks!
