Could anyone give me some knowledge on SUA for 1st gens? I have an 04 and spring under is the way I want to go but there isn't really a kit available on the market. I've seen a 62" kit but didn't know if it would work....I've been wanting to pull the trigger on it for awhile but can't seem to find much info! If anyone could help that would be cool! Or help me with a parts list...thanks guys !

    Need some tacomaworld help....

Just installed a used TC +2 kit.... I want to get the toe close so I can drive a few miles to alignment shop... My tires are toed out and look like this \------/ (with the top of that diagram being the front of the car) but tierods are completely out of adjustment (all the way tightened)

Im starting to think the tierod spacer is too long.... This is the TC +2 kit, the tie-rod spacer is 3'' am I right to think this is the wrong part? Shoudn't it be a 2'' spacer in the tie rod?

3" including the portion with the male threads? You also more than likely need to adjust the alignment cams. They will change the tie rod length you need as well

I just measure thebtie rod extension on a tc 3.5" race kit I have sitting on the shelf. The tie rod extension is 3 7/16" long not including the male threaded portion

No, not including the threads..... It is adds exactly 3'' to the length of the tie-rod

That is very helpful!! So im thinking my tie-rod extension should be more close to 2''....

Edit: Also it is the +2 Race kit, although not sure that would make a difference in tie-rod spacer length, any of you know someone with a +2 kit that can measure? That would be ideal... want to go test this thing out, after a long week of working on it, its hard to sit here on the last step and it not be right.

Giant 64, requires tundra axle, or deaver h70/e30 with 12" shackles. there's not specific kits as nothing is bolt on

So anyone running spring over axle with LT front and happy? I am torn right now after installing my +3.5" kit up front. My rear is 2.0 12" kings after a shock relocation but they don't even come close to keeping up with the front. Micah at dsm says upgrading to a 2.5" bypass will make a big difference and my leafs are shot so I'd go with a custom pack from deaver, but i just don't know if I'm gonna be happy with that. I love the soa with u-bolt flip keeping the bottom of the axle clean for rock crawling, and the 12" shocks do give a good amount of travel, but I just don't know if it can be enough. And I don't know if I necessarily want to spend 2x as much to go sua since I refuse to go through the bed with a bed cage since I utilize the bed on a pretty regular basis.

My vote is to link it and be done. Look at how many guys go from soa to sua to links. Lots of wasted money in the mix

Yeah I'd take a ultra 4 dd that I can throw a dirt bike in the back of if it existed. I'm just trying to be realistic and justify the 4.5k vs 2k and weigh the benefits.
