Former 31/25 series guy here. Was SF commo support for 2-1 SFG at Ft. Lewis (JBLM) and was in 35th Sig (Michael Jordan's brother was our CSM) at Ft. Bragg. Was in for 5.5 years active and finished 1.5 years natty guard with 19th SFG out in Buckley, WA and in Utah. Working on a B-team and being attached to SF A-teams were some of the best times of my life.

You can be highspeed commo if you get your wings you dirty nasty leg.

Damn. Maybe I can get up there early on a weekday with less people.

Thanks, yeah I took a look at that earlier. I did tahuya just fine with only a lift on my truck...I figured this one shouldn't be too bad either.

Yeah, it's not bad at all. We had two stock tacos up there last weekend.

So...2 hours to diagnose the CEL/Trac Off (p2441 secondary air injection valve bank 1) issue and the loss of horn (possible spiral cable). Replaced fuse and relay with no luck. That or its blowing the relay.
I might lose my sh*t if the extended warranty refuses to cover.

It's got me thinking of building a more durable (simple) overlander. Thinking CUCV m1008. Yes, I hate Chevy's but this may be an exception.

It'll be hard to get rid of the Tacoma though.

Hey man without legs you can't walk hahaha

25 series for me and I'm with 35th now. If I was staying in I would most definitely hop on one of these squadron teams. It's a whole new world of military! But I'm glad I'll be able to use my experience, clearance and certs to do just fine in the civilian world.

I have one that I plan on installing once the repair work is complete. Just trying not to give the warranty company any excuse not to cover the expenses.

I've got the filter sitting in my tool box. Just checking to see if you were having problems with the new filter on. I better move it up on my to do list.

Yeah, it's not like being in the army at all. First name basis, relaxed atmosphere, non standard equipment...I could have never have gone back to "big" army.

If you're at JBLM I assume you're in the 51st? That was my first unit at Bragg...was nice to see it reinstated in my home state and 2nd duty station.

Anyway, for sure your commo background will help a lot. It helped me get my foot in the door as a contractor before becoming a full time employee. Good luck!

Not for awhile with everything in Syria still going on. Army just announced the 82nd is deploying 2100 soldiers to Iraq this fall.

Yeah you are. At least you can still drink 1/2 rack of beer without getting a hangover.

    Good times

In other news, just pulled off my rear shocks and that's definitely what was making all that godawful noise. No idea what is wrong with them.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
You know what I do. And I like my Air Force pushups, 68 in one minute... sounds about right, huh? Basic in Sept-Oct 2002. School until February. Kansas for 10 (5 on the road between tdy and deployments). Here doing aircraft test. Leaving this winter for Turkey for a year.

How the hell was that your shocks? Didn't sound like it could be shocks at all. Do your old OMEs even fit with your new set up?

    Shit on a black truck.
I was in the Marine Corps 2003-2007. Went in as Aviation electronics and learned real quick about signing that contract when they switched me to a refrigeration mechanic working on humvee mounted missile systems. Got done with MOS school and long story short ended up in a Motor Transport unit not ever doing anything I learned:notsure:. Few back to back to back deployments as security forces and hung it up. Cheers fellas
