It's pretty rough. Maybe not as rough as Line-x but rough like sandpaper. I thought about heat too. Maybe it's almost drying as I spray so it doesn't really settle out on the surface. It did seem smoother in spots where I sprayed closer even though I didn't mean to because I was afraid of it running.

I replaced my 3rd brake lights with Slyvania LEDs (168s) and now they don't work when I press the brake pedal. Anyone know why?

Polarity reversed. Try putting them in the opposite way and try it

It's fantastic! Already put on a lift, tires, CB, and little odds and ends here and there. Took it out wheeling and camping a few times too. Love being back in the game.

No worries buddy! It's amazing that with a 50% chance of installing LEDs correctly the first time, that all of us install them 100% wrong on the first try.

The thing with the 3rd brake lights are you can't tell if they work until you get someone to press the pedal. Well, I didn't have anyone to do that yesterday when I installed them.

Not on a Tacoma but too good to pass up. I saw the ultimate redneck roof mounted cargo basket that will probably put Yakima, Thule, Prinsu and all of the other manufacturers out of business. (Wood twin bed)

You wouldn't need to buy any custom mounts to mount anything because decking screws could be used anywhere you needed to mount something. I would have taken more pictures but the owner was sitting inside it.

My solution for this is to set my phone up to take a video of the 3rd brake light as I hit the brakes.

I thought about that but I was at work when I installed them and we got a call so I never got back around to doing it.

Get something like a hammer and wedge it between the pedal and your seat when its pushed forward. ;)

I'm about to do the cell phone thing.
But thinking about it, what are the chances that I replaced ALL 3 backwards

LEDs are polarity specific on a DC circuit.
