I did not know about that I don't watch the news. I only heard of the Linkin Park guy by word of mouth.

Ipdate on the DD... i love having so many cars in the area that are being parted out. Scares me a bit but its weird most of the cars are being parted out with good motors. Not sure why the fuck these people part out these cars with a running and driving 1.8t engine... even if the trans is bad the trans missions for this car is like $400 MAX

    1.0 or 1.25"?

Can I borrow a pair to test out?

    If my 0.75" don't work.

BFH hit the spindle , where the ball joint/ tie rod end go threw. OR A PICKEL FORK , but will likely rip the grease boot

This, but put it on backwards, so you don't destroy the castle part.

Tie rod puller. Saves the boot. Also works on the Ball Joint. Won't work once you have the gusseted spindles on though.

Although effective, that cam still screw up the threads. Hit the spindle itself on the side where the tapered shaft goes though.

You could also drop in and borrow my balljoint separator.

I also vote for hitting the spindle with a hammer Floyd

Really? If the hammer isn't working, come get my pullers. That's how I took mine apart. Boots are fine.

Small 3-5lb sledge would probably help. Not sure, but if your using a regular house hammer you'll need some more ummff into it.

Ok. I'm trying the BFH method. On both the uca bj and the tie rod end right?

Jimmy- you home today during the day So I can pick up the puller if the BFH doesn't work?
