    Yup both headlights clear coat starting to peel. Not real sure if there's a solution.

    I know a mobile detailer that can refinish them for you. Its a bit pricey though

    Can they do it if the clear coat peels all the way? Or should I get it done now? I'm willing to spend a little to keep these headlights good because they are honestly probably my favorite and most useful mod.

    Yeah they will strip away the old clear and reseal them. Devin at dominion auto detailing. Hes a mobile detailer. Or you might be able to go to one of those car wash places that has detailing services

    First wash/detail since October :eek:

    Just wheel/tire detail, engine bay detail, wash, and interior detail. Also scrubbed the hell out of the Weathertech's, they look almost new now. The Mequiar's soap I use is supposedly a "wash and wax" but I typically do a normal wax as well. Didn't have time today though. It also needs a clay but I obviously didn't have time for that either, I'll do those another time.

    You can also see the new HVAC controls I got. Still on the fence about them. There is a ring around the controls that lights up amber in the dark but in the daytime, it is hard to see the little notch that tells you where you are at for each control. I kept the stock controls so I can swap back easily if I decide I don't like them.

    You have always taken great care of that truck man. I could only dream of keeping mine that clean :thumbsup: you could be a detailer.

    Thanks John, I try. Still need to re-paint the sliders but it's such a PITA since they're welded and so close to the body. Should also touch up the rear bumper but it's also a PITA to paint.

    I have a ton of rock chips and other marks from my small accident on my front bumper but I don't worry about it since it's aluminum :)

    Detailing has always been relaxing and enjoyable for me and it has been one of the occupations I think about but pursuing police and fire jobs right now. Always a backup...

    Since you are a detailer, this might make you cringe, but you could always get a paint drop cloth and tape it up between your frame area and up your cab area and then just spray on? I think they are like $5 at home depot and then just some painters tape to hold it on.

    Nice man, I was trying to figure out what to call that. That's how I used to tape up my old truck I painted with my pizza shop buddy...that stuff works great!

    That's exactly how I've touched them up in the past.

    I may splurge for plastic sheeting at HD and use that instead since the canvas painters tarp I've used in the past is a little too bulky for shoving in between the cab and the part of the slider closest to the cab. Plus it's awkward and "heavy" to tape up by myself and get in the right spot.

    Took the swingout off to get a new couch. Sometimes I like the clean look without a swingout but it also looks a little goofy to me, like something is missing.

    That, and I don't like the look of the spindle sticking out with nothing on it :laughing:

    I think a lot about swapping to a different more practical vehicle but it doesn't make financial sense right now so sticking with the truck for now. Other days I love the truck and want to keep it. Just wish I went a little different direction with it as far as the mods, being a little more practical for the zero offroading I have time to do...
