How heavy is a Gen 1

I'm getting ready to PCS (move from one military installation to another) so the topic of weight tickets surfaces once again. I was just curious what the empty weight of a Gen 1 Taco is. I think my Gen 2 weighs about 4200lbs empty (I can't remember for sure because I weighed it in '07.

 

You have to specify the year, model, engine, and transmission.

My 96 Reg cab 2.7 5 speed w/ a canopy is 3750 with me and a full tank. Just went to the dump and they do it by weight here.

 

If your instalation has a recycling center you can go down there and ask them if you can jump on the scale.

I think the recycling center falls under the Directorate of Logistics?

I know where to go to weigh. I was just curious to see how much heavier the '05s and later were compared to the older, yet still very capable and relevant models. To quote the first reply, I don't know anything about Gen 1. Please describe your truck when you reply with a weight, thanks!

2560 lbs. (4-cylinder 5-lug Regular Cab; 1995.5 - 1997 era)

3705 lbs. (6-cylinder 6-lug Double Cab; 2004)

With my 180 lbs and my daughter's 21 lbs, my 2003 Xtra cab weighed right at 2 tons according to the feedlot scale.
