any of you shop at king soopers? well i got the $1 off per gallon after shopping there. pull into a loaf and jug here in riverton in the middle of a storm. i was on 0 miles to empty for 12 miles. start pumping gas and a bolt of lightning strikes about 1/2 mile away. power to a good part of town shut down for a couple seconds. gas pump shuts off....... this $1 off code was good for 35 gallons. almost filles my truck completely. damn thing shut off at 16 gallons. when power came back it took the pumps 3 or 4 min to come back on. the pump restarted telling me to put the nozzle back in place. eff me. so i didnt get to use the entire coupon which could have saved me another $20 in gas. lame...

My 4runners cant take full advantage because we only have 20ish gallon fillups. The wife and I will tag-team and take both down when we have dollar savings points earned. I'm happy to say I've never been struck by lightning while fueling.

Got a little work done on her last night. Waited awhile to get these from Hefty, but really happy with them, and my little guy can now get in easier. Looked at lots of options, and really liked the ones from AOF that I saw on Zee's truck, but these won out. I liked that they are just a few blocks from the house, they aren't angled up so my kids and wife can use them as a step, and they come standard with the plates.

Pretty simple bolt on install, but I do now need new brake line clips for the frame. Snapped both of them trying to release the lines.

Next up is a Bed Rack from Jake, though! I have the AOF patch...now I just need AOF product, other than the hi lift mount I picked up from Zee!

Under the soft topper? Interesting. How would that work with an RTT? Specifically a 4 man tent? Any pics?

You would put grommets through the topper and bolt it up. Should do just fine.

i like that... Seems like it'd be a pain to realign your RTT rails for it to work though.

Something to think about, for sure. I was planning on having you do one over the top of it, kind've like the All Pro one, but we'll see. Either way, the funds should be here in August to make this happen.

Since I don't own one, I'm not fully familiar with RTT mounting, but doesn't the mount need to rest directly on top of the bed rack? If so, that means the tent hardware would be rubbing on the soft topper and wear through it pretty quickly.

I'd have to see pics or a drawing of the setup, I guess. I do really like the idea, however.....so sell me.....

You would have brackets that touch the topper on the inside that is welded to the rack, then a peice of rubber mat on both sides to protect the topper, the rtt has two t slot channels on it. You would run bolt in that and then you would drop the bolts through a rubber layer, then grommet through the topper, rubber layer on the inside, steel bracket and then put your nut on and tighten down

Would the fabric be sandwiched between the mounts, then, or free to move around.

Unless you wanted to do huge grommets and have a free standing stud to the tent

true dat. I'm not big on using the side windows or anything. for all intents and purposes, my softopper is a topper. just want a decent weather seal in the bed. Dont care much for the folding it down and using the windows part. If you did however, your rack seems like the way to go.
