Who here has squeeky backrests in there 1st gen.?
And how the heck can I fix it. If I move at all the seat will squeek. What is causing this?
    Foam, springs?

mine had the same problem, except is was coming from the actual seat. i just got a can of wd-40 and sprayed the wires and foam with it and the problem went away. this might work for the backrest as well.

the seat bottoms are, you just stick you can of spray under there and aim up and spray away. as far as the backrest, you will probably have to remove the cover.

if you get down on your hands and knees and look up under the seat, you can see that the foam sits right on top of the steel wires. it could be very possible that the foam is rubbing against to wires causing it to squeek. this was my problem and the wd-40 seem to fix it, and it was been 4 months now w/o a squeek(knock on wood)
