Got my truck back yesterday, 75 days. They called me and said it was ready. I had forgotten how great she looks. Fortunately they had stored her covered. No paint issues. No driving issues so far. Filled her up with 91 octane, thought it might help with the cobwebs although I know it probably doesn't matter.

There was a guy just bringing in his Tacoma in for the recall and at the rental desk. He couldn't believe it had been 75 days for me. They told him around 3 weeks, I hope they've been ramping up their parts and technicians.

They like to stack the bodies high.

Well, my gasket has still not come in. The dealership called yesterday and said they wanted to take pictures of my rear diff? So they can send to Toyota corp. for my case. WTF seriously? It's been like 3 weeks since I've had my truck back and it been washed throughly several times since then.

The dealership called me today to remind me it's time to re-sign the loaner contract. I want my truck back already. :(

I wonder if Toyota is having second thoughts on replacing gaskets on minor weeping trucks as it looks like now every truck that was made is starting to weep and Toyota has realized it is not 1% but more like a hell of a lot more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just found out they ARE NOT ordering any parts unless the truck is there on the lot
and downed after being inspected. I was under the impression they are getting parts
in and would call when they could service the truck. Spoke to several dealers who all
said the same thing... if it's not on the lot awaiting parts, they will not be ordered. Fuk.

Yep why would Toyota do the right thing and have the parts all ready to go so customers could get there trucks fixed. Toyota wants to make the least amount of parts possible.

Mine has minor weeping that has dried, meaning it hasn't weeped in some time, and the fluid is full. I will most likely take it in at the next scheduled maintenance chance in 25K
miles. The recall came out the same day when my last service was done at 20K and the weeping was their and nothing was said, it hasn't changed since day.

Finally got the call this morning! 61 Days Total! I was there within the hour. Confirmed all that was replaced and double checked what I could myself visually. Looks like there are definitely new nuts but not sure if some of the bolts were replaced they look new. As far as I can tell "NO RTV" don't get me wrong the stuff is awesome but not part of this repair/recall. Overall looks like a good job I will keep an eye on it and keep posting.P_20170722_130447_1_p.jpg P_20170722_130405_1_p.jpg P_20170722_130324_1_p.jpg

Had a guy stop me at the ATM today to ask about my truck and the recall. Told him I had mine done and all was clean/re-torqued. Turns out we use the same dealer in Spartanburg SC, and they kept his. Been two weeks now and he still doesn't know when they will have parts.

He was driving a Toyota mini-van from the dealer.

    Just some FYI .

Waiting for Livermore Toyota to get parts. I just spoke with my service advisor yesterday, they have had only one kit come in and that went to a Taco that was actually leaking fluid on the ground. Even though mine is seeping I was not told that "I have to bring it in and leave it till it's fixed". Still have mine and waiting patiently.

So your dealership sold the entire 1% that are affected by the leaking rear-ends?

Has anybody gotten corporate to give them an extended warranty due to the rear differential? Also has anybody contacted a lawyer?
