We already have a prime account. My wife is on with them right now because we are trying to use visa gift cards we got from our credit card company to pay for all of it. It's a pain to use more than one. She does all the Amazon stuff

We are getting a 14 foot toy hauler from Dune Sport. They only do custom builds

Nice. FWIW a group 31 battery or if it will fit, 2 golf cart 6v batteries and a big solar panel are your boon docking friends!

So I'm the luckiest mfer here right now.

We bought that huge ass generator at Costco for 549 last month getting ready for the trailer to come. We started it once and it's loud as hell but we didn't mind for desert camping.... Well today we were having lunch with my mom and step dad and we started talking about the trailer. Showed them the floor plans and what not. Told them we bought a generator....

Then my step dad says, "Hey, we have am extra generator...." Then my mom says, "Yeah, get it out of the garage...."

It turns out he has a 2006 Honda EU3000si just sitting in their garage. Their new camper has an Onan built in so they don't need it. They just gave it to us. We are going to service it tomorrow fully. It misses on idle so I think the carb needs to be cleaned out

To answer my own question... yes you can use the 3rd gen to pull landscaping equipment and large zero turns. I'm at 4 days of owning my new inferno '17 trd OR dbcb and it's like there's not a trailer there. Really impressed with this truck and was a little hesitant about buying after so much negativity about the 3rd gen on tw. IMO it's just another great gen of tacomas just with alot more gadgets and tech.

Gas has a shelf life of 3 months unless use a stabilizer in it. Try some fresh preferably ethanol free gas.

Do you do a lot of heavy towing?
If you're basing this on towing an RV then you couldn't be more wrong. Towing an rv has characteristics that are unique because of its size, height and shape. A WDH makes towing these much more enjoyable no matter what size your truck is. I tow a flatbed loaded with timbers pretty regular and have never felt the need for a WDH.

Towed my Miata from Atlanta to Charlotte Motorspeedway this weekend. To my surprise, this truck handled the 4-hr journey really well. I installed a P3 for this trip and it definitely made a difference. Traveling between 70-80 mph, I was averaging 12.2 mpg. Not too bad, imo.

70 to 80 mph? Was there a fire?
You know... if ya slow down... the fuel mileage improves.

I was keeping with with the flow of traffic and the truck felt very stable. Zero sway of the trailer the entire trip. Im not concerned with the fuel economy.

The load looks well proportioned for tongue load. That's the key to stability. My concern with speed is with stopping in an emergency situation. All it takes is some asshole ahead to piss on your parade and suddenly your Miata is passing you. Stay safe.

I understand your concern and appreciate it. I always make sure to give myself plenty of space between me and the car in front. You’re right, there’s always that asshole out there that will cut you off, with out using the turn signal. Adding the brake controller, set on boost 1 setting, really made a world of difference.

Yes. They took it back to the tire center to drain the gas. It was ran for a minute. They will take anything back.

I am always thinking about my distance and whether I will swerve or plow into the guy who hits the brakes when I'm towing. Swerving can often be far worse than plowing into the back of a small car when you are loaded heavy
