    Great pics. The Pillsbury to Ruth lake route is one I do yearly. As you said very few people up there. Not tons of technical stuff but fun forest roads that you can bomb with confidence. Enough washouts and culverts and stream crossings to give the suspension a workout. Open campsites, views, wildlife.

    Very large fire burning toward Bear Valley, has grown to 2k acres in just a part of an afternoon. Large scale Evacuations in place avoid the forests around there at all costs.

    Dude I was on the Butte fire when it was 7 acres. We were covering in TCU. It was hairy and only got worse. We didn't get line relief for 48 hours. I was snapped to say the least. I'm writing now from the Garza fire west of fresno, probably heading over to MMU soon for this new start.

    To anyone considering going to cow mtn, there is a new fire on cow mtn OHV area near Ukiah. started near the rifle range area. Not surprising if a shooter accidentally/irresponsibly started it as there sems to be alot of idiots there it's a mess lots of trash and brass/shotshells.

    Rapidly expanding fire near Bullards Bar outside Nevada City. There are currently 15 heavy Dozers and and twice as many fire engines coming in hot to the area. Any weekend plans in the area be safe or rethink.
