Not being able to stand a little heat for five minutes to remove an IFS skid is even a little much for a glamper such as myself.

    No AC in here...

Although, in Floyd's defense, I believe his truck WAS imobile when he realized that he needed to remove his skid.

I'm not working on my truck again, other than services and repairs, for a long time. It's time to just enjoy it.

After I put the gauges in.

Me on the other hand.... I'm worried about this alignment issue, if I knock it out again they won't be able to get it close for some reason so I may not be wheeling next weekend

I'm going to go talk to my alignment guys and see if we can't come up with a root cause for this problem and get it taken care of next week. My new theory is the pinion is skipping teeth on the rack. Solution would be center the rack, disconnect steering wheel and center that, then hopefully I'll have enough adjustment in the tie rods to get the toe correct. I can also adjust the uca and Lca outwards to get more inboard toe, but I feel like that is putting a bandaid on the issue and not really correcting the main problem

If you're having that much of an issue, you may have a dead bushing, bent spindle, or bent bolt. I have a pair of LCAs that I'm in the middle of rebuilding, and tomorrow I'll post some pics to help illustrate the geometry of how they align.

You can borrow mine. I got it from Amazon.

Hell... bring your CV over to my house and you can work on it in my new air conditioned garage.
