I'm new to the whole forum thing, but find this site to be very helpful. I have a 2009 Double Cab TRD Sport that I would love to lift 3" and put 285/70's on the stock 17's for now. I've read quite a few posts regarding this topic, and have decided that the 5100's are probably the best bang for my buck. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

rear suspension TSB, sockmonkey bed decals, weathertech floor liners, TRD seat covers, tailgate pop n lock, rear diff breather relocation, center console lock, Viper Alarm, extra D-rings in bed, 5100's on all 4 corners
5100s won't give you 3" of lift. 2.5" max in the front.
Were you looking to do 3" on all 4 corners?

Marco with Downsouth Motorsports here on the board is out of stock until the middle of next week. He's a real nice guy and super helpful. Im in your camp, i need fronts but im going to wait until he has them in. im a patient guy and will wait for the guy who does business the old fashioned way with good customer service.

I have heard a lot of good things about DownSouth Motorsports so I will probably go with him. I have read that with the 2.5 that the 5100's offer, that I should be able to go with 285/70/17's. Is this true? Secondly, I noticed that my rear was squating a little more than I had hoped with a load for a camping trip, so I talked to the service manager where I bought the truck, and they put a new set of rear leafs with 4 leafs in them from the factory as a "warranty" fix. Because I now have the new rear spring set, I was considering just doing a 1"block in the rear.

im going the same route as you. i had the spring replacement in the rear and now need the 5100's for the front. marco states its best if the fronts are set to 1.75 and thats what im coming up with. i went from the stock dunlops to bfg at ko's 265/70/17. They look bigger than the dunlops and I think you may be tight with the 285's...not positive though

I'm no pro, but from what i've read, doing an add a leaf is much better than putting blocks on...

I just ordered the fronts from Down South MS. I called beforehand and they said they have the front in stock, but not the rear.

No kidding, if only the manufacturer could keep up with demand.
