    Asphalt does get pretty soft in hot weather. I think this qualifies as hot weather :D
    Glad nobody was hurt. This is why any time my truck is on stands and tires are off, the wheel and tire go under the frame as a fallback. If the truck slips off the stands, and the jack fails(is it always lifted up but no weight on it), then the truck would fall on the wheel/tire. Minimizes damage to the truck and/or person.
