Been looking for a bit and found a couple of off brands that basically copied the oem model. Any opinions on oem vs Nova vs whatever else? My intention is to put a basket on eventually. Just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks!

I recall a member buying an OEM knock off on Ebay and saving some money, but the fitment was terrible. Do what you will with that information.

I'm fine with slapping down the money for oem. I was just curious if there was something better :D.

Dang I like the vortex. But it has the same weight limit as the oem with double the price tag. Thanks for the lead and its something to consider. Wish it were more than cosmetics.

Keep in mind these can handle a lot more weight than that. The limit is pretty much set for when you're driving. Parked they can hold upwards of 600 lbs. I wouldn't trust oem with that.

Oh wait I responded without looking at which one the vortex was. I can't speak to that one. I was referring to the big full coverage metal ones.
