only 4 more work days left for me. one day off, then flying to AK woot woot! cant wait.

 

CT tacos, last year we had a good showing for the fluid film meet. I'm wanted to offer a date for this fall: Sunday Sept 16, late morning to after lunch

Mid Sept spraying will provide some good temps, and time for it to setup and get into all the crevices before the snow flies.

Put it on your calendars if you are interested. $40 per taco, and I'll fire up the grill this year.

I spray your truck. The only pre-work is for you to remove your spare tire. With the air compressor and spray gun it takes about 10-15 min per truck and that's getting everything very well.

Fluid film details:

I'm getting some questions on what is sprayed on the trucks. I figured I'll put the responses out for everyone...

I can do as much or as little coverage as you like. I personally do everything underneath the truck except the exhaust, including shooting inside the frame tubing where I can get access. Other areas are under the hood and engine bay, inside and around the tailgate and door jams.

Maybe the folks that got their trucks sprayed last year can be a reference. My truck gets the treatment 1-2x per year since new in 2014. It has 80K miles and is 99% rust free.

The film will stink a little for a week or so then its not so noticable. Since we are using compressed air there is nothing combustible.

I've never priced up what a dealer would cost you to do this. I'm really just doing it to host the meet and make it worthwhile.

like @surfandturf said I had mine done last year and I off road it quite a bit, now it's a 2011 and it did have slight rust but sense spraying the fluid film I'm not seeing any more new rust and most important to me what little rust is there is NOT spreading YeeeHaaaW.

 

Yea sounds good to me, we might even get a bigger convoy this year if new guys want to come too

I'll try to keep my calendar open for that day. Sunday's are difficult but we'll do our best. No FF for me though - I have 1/2 a case of Amsoil HD in my garage. Not saying it's better or worse, but it's what I've used. I'd be up for the meet.
