Haha he posted up in the Montana thread. And he was under the influence that he shouldn't do it in a long bed.

But Saturday looks to be the day to make it happen. I'm going to be tackling the Magruder starting tonight or tomorrow so i won't have service. ( I'm guessing) for the next day or two.

I'm waiting/hoping my Dometic will arrive next week like I was told it would... Still waiting on a shipping confirmation though. So I'll be waiting on that to see exactly where I am (hoping to not have to wait around for it to be delivered on Friday). But that'll be in Missoula.

6ish hours from Morrison. Less then that really by a bit.

Touch base on Friday. See if I'm working or not.

i have been talking about the prerun for a couple weeks. nobody had any interest or was busy. but @SconnieHailer came out with us saturday. we had a lot of fun. found a couple cattle guards where we can jump. we went back to get pics and run it again, but his camera was acting up. it was a great day though. left lander and took all dirt roads to the kilpecker sand dunes where i got to relive my pismo beach days. after we were done, i decided to head home. rolled in about 1:30 am. getting ready to go to bed now

Was a great day! I will say raptors are one hell of a capable high speed rig. Was cool to finally see some where they're designed to drive. I'll try to save those pics of the jumps the best I can... I'll get the drone chase up too today. Hopefully I can come help out with the event in two weeks.

Holy cow I cant believe these were savable. My EV comp slider was set to -5 stop.... so these were litterally black when i pulled them out of the camera lol. At least there is something to look at even though they are grainy and horrible  @nosbusa You need to get that harness figured out so I can see how that FLIR camera works for night mobbing!

Idk it seems like within the raptor community that the new one isn't going to be as reliable. 10 speed trans that was the bastard child of Ford and Chevy and turbos + dust = short life no matter how good your filters are.

nice, not much air, but we can hit it faster next time. the 3 times i hit it, was progessively faster. im sure we got a little more air when i took you for the final pass. we will see in 2 weeks when the photos come out for the event. going to try 75-80 over it next time. the dealer cant get my truck in until aug 10th so i will be coming up once again with no nav/radio/cd player/ bqck up camera, etc. really sucks but i will see what i can do about the flir. for anyone reading, @SconnieHailer did awesome keeping pace with us. just cause we have a bigger motor, we still top out at 108-110. you can catch us. so we need more yodas to come out an play with us. we are planning on an annual event out there. the more the merrier. i promise you will have fun. at the very least, watch me bury myself in the sand when i take it too far

I have long travel on my taco. So I'd love to come. Sadly I work weekends. Life of recording engineer

Damn you can tell it's a heavy truck from compressing that much from that small of a jump. Looks fun though.

the jump is a little nose heavy, and yes, we are heavy. the first jump will get more air and smoother landing. i can wait to hit them at full speed next time.
havent you heard of calling in sick? theres this stipulation at work where you dont always have to go to work every day.....

Bumskie, nothing worse than a lack of creature comforts :D

Yea that ramp was not ideal. We should have went back to the first one. I hit that one at 60 and was way hot for my truck. Landed all four at the same time, set you down perfect.

If I play my cards right I'll show up for the event and get everyone coming through the first one with the camera working correctly...

Was just talking to Jen today about being excited to shoot another wedding! Gonna be a great day man :)

I do like the new ones a bit more than the 1st gens. More just the new styling. 1st gens are alot of fun.

I have been reading a couple forums and see this as well. That was my initial concern with the new raptor was the turbos and dirt, but I find it surprising Ford wouldn't think that through. It's not like they couldn't through a supercharged 5.0 on it if they saw it being that big an issue. Then again how many ppl actually use them for the designed purpose.
