I put a few more turns in the rear brake adjusters. The e-brake holds and the truck stops awesome. I think I'm done with the truck for awhile. I want to build a 29-er hardtail mountain bike.

Public service announcement: I cannot recommend using aftermarket rear shoes.

Bedlined the tailgate, kinda of a test trial, using spray cans ( rust-oleum), really liking the look.
Might do the whole truck since it looks terrible anyway.

The shifter assembly I got for my 4x4 swap has a torn shifter rubber boot. Is this a part you can replace?

I think I've had the truck 2 weeks now. Finally got the dash HVAC bulbs today & installed them. Wouldn't be a big deal, but I'm unfamiliar with the truck, it's hot out & I drive after dark daily. Also took a long drive today & was able to focus on that expensive, random noise in the engine bay; decided it was a front right rubbing noise. Got home & it was a missing fastener at the front edge of the fender liner, was blowing back & rubbing the tire at 60+ mph. Zip tie fixed for now. Also removed the dead horn. 3 successes!

Purchased the truck in December with just under 80,000 miles. Its been a slow process to this point as I am new to wrenching, but so far I have:

Replaced the drivers side seat frame (was bent)
Rewired the master control on the drivers door due to grounding issues (locks and windows)
    Replaced the junction box/fuse box
    Cleaned MAF
    Cleaned Throttle Body
New Fuel Filter and Air Filter
Changed Oil (Mobile 1 synthetic 15000 mile)
    New OEM Filter
Replaced Transmission Fluid (at transmission shop, not a flush)
    TRU-Cool Transmission Cooler
    Fluid Filmed the Frame
De-badged the doors, and blacked out the rear badges
    Blacked out mirrors
    New decals from Cowboy-808
    Car starter
    Bugflector
    Tinted Windows (at shop)
    Replaced Headlights
Added Smoked Turn Signals and clear corners
    Tundra Brake Upgrade
Painted Wheels this weekend and sanded/prepped box for Raptor Liner (will be spraying it next weekend)

I still need to get the timing belt water pump kit installed along with lower ball joints and new plugs and wires. After that, I am going to FINALLY get to install a lift some wheels/tires, and sliders. After that I will be broke for a while and will have to save up again before I can add bumpers and a bed rack. sheesh.

Are you supposed to have Overdrive off when you have a heavy load in your bed? I know you're supposed to turn it off when towing, but now when you're carrying a load.

I ask this because I was hauling an A340F for my 4x4 conversion through the Donner Summit the other day and the truck was struggling. I didn't know if I was putting stress on anything the OD handles or anything since I know for towing it should be off.

Well for me, it's been more like..."what have you've done in the last month" first replace the r ock hard bench seat with a pair of buckets and consule picked from a 2000 Xtracab SR5 (i will eventually have seats recovered in gray) and then replaced broke exterior door handles with Dorman units that fit perfectly.

    Reserected from the dead.

Leave it off. You are already travelling at lower speeds because of the heavy load. You are also not getting good gas mileage because of the load. The overdrive gear is to get the best mileage possible. Non issue with a heavy load.

It's much easier on the transmission as well.
