Got the remainder of our Phase 2 sandstone coloured borders poured today which brings us up to 54 yards so far

Getting the pumper down , leveled and set up through the trees was a bit of a question mark , plus this time was the first pour he needed to back out up the goat trail of a driveway but that all went well which makes our 2 final infill exposed aggregate pours look like they should be drama free as well

I'm just here baby sitting the concrete because there are showers threatening and we don't wash the retarder off till this evening

Cut the control joints on the weekend

Strip forms , tie and chair infill panel rebar grids Mon / Tues .

Final pours are Wed / Fri , then we are back to our regularly scheduled programming

    I'm so sorry.
Hope all works out for y'all

We just had a barndominium built. Cheaper than a wood house.

Question for the TW Home Improvement/History experts.

My neighbors house was built in 1776 and on the front corner of the house under a big covered porch (I think the porch was added later) there are these beefy hooks hanging. We've been speculating on what they are. Any ideas/guesses on what the original use was? House was a working farm at one point. They're about 6' off the porch floor and close to 10' off the ground.

Here's a far away shot I have from last fall. They're on the front corner (it's blocked by the pillar in the photo).

Lantern idea makes sense. But I'm guessing they'd have to be special lantern intended to hand on a flat surface and not your typical round lantern.

they look like hooks for water buckets that were kept on houses back in the day to help put out fires.

I did have an old photo of the original house & barn framed for them. It's pretty far away though. That's about as far as I've researched.
