Ken: Got mad at the dealer and forgot to ask if they needed car drivers. I will ask when the tags come in. I could handle that gig. As long as I do not have to speed when driving. The older I get the closer to the speed limit I drive.

We are encouraged to stay within the speed limits. Working by the hour makes it a no brainer.

I do not drive for a dealer but often deliver cars to dealers.

Have a great boss and love my job.

A dozen daze left as a 50-something! Gonna be a good riddance to the 50's. It's been rough. Power of positive thinking says 60's will be good times.

Dealing with kidney cancer, prostate cancer (both in remission at this moment) Early stage Parkinsons, and pulmonary fibrosis in left lung. All that on top of residual effects of 17 years of racing dirt bikes. (beat the snot out of legs) Most of the issues with the above decided to rear their ugly heads in my mid to late 50's. I'm just hoping all the treatments that have seemed to be fairly successful will give me a few good years. Not counting on anything, just hoping....

I know exactly what you mean. Myself not in that magnitude.
You learn that your thankful for the things you can do. And there is always someone worse off than you.
So you get your ass out of bed and do shit.
You hear the saying "it's the little thing", yea well they make you feel the best.
I know you well enough to know you keep moving forward.
    Your not gonna change.

Long story short, I CAN'T "quit". Not in a position to, and not something that I WANT to do either. I just keep doing as much as I can do. When the time comes they gotta shut me down, I have no doubt the doctors AND my family will do that. Until then, just keep on keepin' on...

In the past few years I finally got a better perspective of what "10" on the 1 to 10 pain scale is all about. And I managed to get up and walk away from that. Getting older isn't for wimps. But I'm FAR from ready to give up. Still got a lot to live for.

My dad told me something on his 82nd birthday...."Wear it like a badge of honor".

Amen. I thought I knew pain until I had a herniated disc. Whole new aspect of the word pain.

And Susan: Under the speed limit!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

We need a 70+ thread really bad.

I feel like an imposter having left my 60s in my rear view mirror almost 3 years ago.

Anyone else on here who can relate?

Well, it is a 60+ thread, looks like we're good to go for the duration! :D Next thing you will want is a 80+ thread! ;) :fingerscrossed:
Heck, when Sue, and Rob, and a few others finally get to the 60+, we would all have moved the 70+ and then they will still be trying to catch up to us!
Looks like there's a lot in the 50+ thread that will be moving onto the 60+ porch in due time, maybe if the porch gets too crowded with the youngsters we could then move to a new porch and let them keep chasing us!

Afternoon Susan and guys. Out camping with friends, not by my normal self and dog. First time for both of us in a kayak, what fun with Repo, turned him around and he was all over me, trying to keep my balance and hand on the paddle and my glasses. Great fun in the Sierra.

Totally agree Gary, Driving for the dealer I try to keep it at the max 5 over the limit except on some roads that I know they patrol heavily then it's maybe 2 over the limit:D. Don't want any tickets.

I always tell folks "when life gives you lemons make lemonade" and like you said "just keep on keepin' on". Good positive attitude Bill. 6o's will be what you make of them. I thought it was lay down and get ready for the big one when I turned 60, but here it is one year away from 70 and I feel great for an old fart. Still keep pluggin' along. Life is good.

 At least do the limit Tom  or Miss Susan will be right on your butt:D

One more year Gary and I'll be there with you... If you don't start a 70 thread for us oldsters, I will when I get there. I'll pass the baton to one of the youngsters in here. Where did the time go .

    See I told you Tom:burnrubber:....

Looks like a great time was had by you both Duane. Repo looks quite relaxed letting you do all the paddling:rofl:. Is a kayak on the purchase list? They are fun. We go to the state park near us and rent them for an hour or two and cruise around the lake.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Feel great and as though I know some of you personally through this thread. Leave it to Carl to point out the obvious, it is a 60+ thread. Thanks for your friendship Carl. It means a lot.

Also Ken, Mike, Moose, Susan, Duane, and really all who post here. The porch is a great place to be.
