You have a 3rd gen Tacoma. It sounds like everyone else's - fuel pump crickets, 55 mph drones, squeaky leaf springs, and gimpy Atkinson engine noises.

Mine sounds like all other 3rd gens with a 40 series exhaust and s&b cai...But nothing like a stock 3rd gen.

Also... All gens have squeaky leafs.

How much did you pay for the flowmaster set up once installed?

I put on the Afe momentum gt intake and the mbrp turn down catback. I dig it.

$270 total. $90 for the flowmaster 40 series, $80 for an 18" long 3.5" black stainless tip, and $100 for install.

Your LOL is a good thing. You might make it louder, but it will never sound like a beast. That has to be a hidden feature that one can awaken, and it isn't.

Please don't hold your breath. It may happen. Someday. Side note, that's what would totally toast your engine warranty, unless it was dealer installed. And the odds of that are even worse than holding your breath.

Perfect suggestion. Practical for off roading, 'maybe' a bit more noise.

No, it's after the muffler and just a fairly short length of pipe. It will absolutely ruin your warranty. On the tailpipe. Good news is we don't see many warranty claims on those. :D

What would toast your engine warranty?

I was told an aftermarket exhaust or cold air intake would not effect my warranty in any way. I googled it. Looked through the forum and asked the service department at my dealership... They said they wouldn't warranty the aftermarket intake or muffler if something happened to them but my engine warranty would be fine... ?

Genuinely asking a real questing here...

I read that as wanting a supercharger. You know, actual boost.

If he meant 'improved performance' from some I/E combo, then my bad, and I agree, limited warranty implications there.

Ok thanks bud just making sure!

As far as improved performance... Not much... Better throttle response when flooring it.. Doesn't seem to hesitate as much when you really step on the gas... But normal driving i really dont notice any improvements or negatives.

    Mostly just for sound...

A lot of people say they notice better fuel economy... I haven't really. It looked about the same. I put on heavier tires soon after and then lost MPGs... Naturally lol

Exhaust all day. Cat-backs are a waste of money though, just swap for a good muffler or even straight pipe it if you really want it loud. Plus the truck already has a factory CAI so you're just paying for noise with those

Any improved throttle response? Or noticeable fuel economy improvements?

Almost went with aFe... Those were my only 2 options for what i wanted.. But the s&b price won me over lol. No complaints.

No fuel improvement but noticeable better throttle response here.

Sweet, you got one! Need more info about it vs OEM box. I had one in my '94 K2500 6.5 Turbo Diesel Suburban and saw a 1mpg increase.

Ya she likes the rpms >3000. I have a SS pro as well and that makes the throttle response more noticeable. If I cruise conservatively I still get around 21 mpgs, but if I mash on it, I'm more around 15-16.

Your truck threw codes with the S&B intake? How long it take before it started?

No codes yet... At least nothing shows up on my dash.
