    No worries and Im sorry if I came off that way. I think you would be a great help regardless and I know you have a good skill set for a job like this. Whether you want to go for another adventure after dealing with my truck...could be another story.

    As @Coot83 mentioned, I'm just planning on trimming for now. As far as I can tell from what little research I've done so far and seeing Coot's truck, fiberglass fenders keep the stock body dimensions at the front bumper and go wider/higher at the top of the wheelwell.

    Cam tabs aren't a requirement, but they seem like a good idea to do at some point. I don't have a welder either, so most likely, I'll do the install without the cam tabs or limit straps. I'll just have to make sure I get at least the limit straps on before I go nuts.

    The plan is to install the front myself. When I get the rear done, I'll have that done at a shop. Unless I buy a welder and get in a lot of practice.

    Have fun! Took right at 20.5 hrs to do coots truck. From 530 am to 2 am the next morning. We did however have a couple set backs. But my garage has hosted an lt install previously. Just saying.

    Cool. Good to know. I've got a few more things to pick up before I do the install.

    I need to hunt up part numbers for the LCA bolts just incase mine are seized up and maybe UCA bolts too. I also want to replace the hubs/wheel bearings while I'm at it, since they've got 100k+ miles on them. I'm also considering about doing either the 5gen 4runner brake swap or an SOS Performance StopTech brake kit, since the brakes have never been changed.

    Haha I didn't think you would want to do an LT install ever again!

    SOS is $2000+ depending on the kit, but they've got a perpetual TW coupon that would save me a few hundred. I haven't priced out what the 5gen 4Runner front brake swap would cost.

    Hubs/bearings are available from a couple of board members for $550 for the pair.

    I figure that the UCA/LCA bolts will be around $100, but I haven't priced them yet.

    Whenever I get around to doing the install, I know I'll be enlisting my buddy to help, since we help each other out whenever we're working on our hoopties. More help is always welcome, though. Normally, we go one base because we can use the lifts in the auto hobby shop, but since this sounds like it will be long and drawn out, it'll be at the house or someone else's garage.

    Didn't realize the brake swap was that much. Lca bolts are a shade over $200 and iirc uca bolts are either $72 for a pair or $72 each. But I think that was for the pair.

    Damn! Camburg sells the pair of UCA bolts/nuts for $24. If I can get all the part numbers, I'm sure I can find the parts cheaper online than what the local dealerships would charge. When I replaced my radiator hoses and thermostat earlier this year, I saved a good bit ordering from Toyota of Dallas and have the parts shipped versus ordering from the dealership in Fredericksburg.

    The SOS Performance front swaps are StopTech kits so they're pretty high end. However, the 5gen 4R swap is a 338mm rotor and the StopTech kit is 332mm or 340mm. You can get a 355mm rotor, but you need 18" rims. The real benefit of the StopTech kits are the 4 or 6 piston calipers for more clamping force.

    Just don't waste time with the moog bolts. They won't hold an alignment. Homer found out the hard way

    The plan was to use Toyota parts, but that's good to know. Sort of like I found out that the Felpro throttle body gasket for the 2.7 doesn't actually fit. LOL

    Agreed. I have heard that only OEM bolts will work for the long run. If you are gonna pony up the money for the kit, no need to half ass the small stuff.

    Its Tuesday I'd like to let Old house know an approximate number of trucks for Friday.

    For those who didn't know or who have forgotten!

    Meet this Friday at Old House Vineyard 6-9 live music and it's free. You can bring a picnic dinner or they offer brick oven pizzas. You can spend money if you'd like doing wine tastings or rum, vodka, and tequia tastings and buy bottles it's up to you. There's also corn hole and horse shoes available.

    for more info and directions check here:
    http://www.oldhousevineyards.com/

    Remember though NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL!

    so far I have:
    @buyobuyo
    @Wild Crow tenative
    @gdog
    @Fish12South tenative
    @Salty_Dog
    @CharlieWork
    @Choco_Taco

    Not many of us listed I know it's a Friday night I have no control over this. We can also do this on a Saturday sometime there just wouldn't be live music.

    Please let me know and for those who have responded if there is a change in your plans give me a heads up. I'd like to let them know Thursday
