I know for small engines, chainsaws, snowblowers mowers boats etc. gas usually sits in the tanks for longer periods of time. Over time the ethanol breaks down and gums up the lines eventually burning out the engines. With vehicles, we usually burn the fuel before it has time to break down and cause problems. I would imagine, the higher the ethanol amount in the fuel, the shorter amount of time it would take to "gum up." This is coming from the guy who I recently bought my chainsaw from, so take it for what its worth. I'm not sure how it would affect the immediate performance as some were talking about before.

pff.... here in CA we get raped on gas.... (i guess its the cost we pay for great weather). This spot always makes me laugh.... over half the price 5 miles apart, one in CA one in AZ.

And this tells the tale here.... and i just so happen to live in one of the highest average counties in california (ventura)

One can never have too many light bars.
That $2.99 price is high not just because of the extra taxes but also because Highway 8 between Yuma and San Diego is so desolate that the gas stations can charge way more because there's no competition.

This particular difference is probably because AZ isn't required to use Summer gas which costs more to produce.

10c more a gallon for summer gas on average..... but for some reason this year the beautiful lovely oil companies in CA decided that a 35c per gallon wholesale price increase for summer gas was necessary..... fuck the oil companies.

They're using any excuse possible to raise prices right now.

I know this is an old post, but last week my wife filled up a full tank of e-15 when she borrowed my truck. Was skeptical, but it ran fine, no issues. Probably won't do it again though

I would also make sure that she knows not to do it again. It is bad for the fuel system seals etc...
