Not gonna lie, and I'm sure it's no secret how bitter I am about the overcrowding in colorado, but I do understand that it is one of those parks that people come from all over to see. My comment about it sucking was referring to all the people and not necessarily the park itself. Although I do still think there are other places just as good in CO and significantly less people.

Like I said, I probably just had a bad experience this time. The park was gorgeous and definitely warrants another trip, I was just frustrated with it. Like I said, kinda forget still that "getting away" here just means a diffferent spot with alot of people. We got there early enough to beat a fair bit of the crowd, but as we left I couldn't believe the lines to get in.

Hey thanks!! I will look into those for sure, bit of a drive but that's alright I like an excuse to go exploring.

I think I saw this asked a week or so ago but can't find it in this thread (you guys talk.. a LOT). Unser Racing or K1 Speed? Thinking of having a guys night with some buddies and this looks fun. Plus, one of them could use a lesson in how to drive fast since his nickname is "Captain Slow" ;)

K1 is fun and never been to unser, but @aero3685 says it's better than K1.

Unser hands down, no question. I would rather save the money than go to k1.

Yeah I was looking at Montana but thinking I may be moving to Utah in the next year. It's like the Colorado of old, a bunch of riding right outside of slc, and the mormons are pretty nice people.

How does everyone here feel about salvaged titles? I am on the fence about a 1st gen with a salvaged title that I am gonna try to go look at today.

I had one that was great. All depends on who fixes it and what all was wrong. There is a place locally that sells salvage vehicles and I've heard some rough things about them

California has been moving into MT for awhile now. Flathead area and bozeman are already overrun.

This is a local guy up in boulder. Got posted in the trade thread. 260k, $4500, new timing belt and water pump. Sounds like front fender and grill stuff in a wreck maybe? I called him and he is calling me back in a few.

I am hesitant for obvious reasons, but the idea of going through it and fixing the hopefully small issues, then throwing a nice mid travel set up and supercharger and making it a weekend warrior for around here are extremely tempting. Could eventually just SAS it.

Hooray for new armor! Finally got the LCA armor mounted that I got from @Tacoma SS and a Pelfreybilt front skid that I bought a while back! Ordered some new CV axles from CVJ Axles and getting some new sliders from @3378jakesr5 soon! Little late getting the truck ready this year for off-roading but hey, life's a bitch sometimes  Sad that I missed out on that Icon set posted this weekend! What a deal...

FWIW that thing would sell for over double that in good condition.

Trading post also says it has F&R lockers.

If that's accurate, and you plan on wheeling it, I think it's easily worth the price. People are paying close to that for crashed double cabs just to swap the cab on to their xtra cab.

I had heard that too. Otherwise Montana was high on the list of possibilities.

I would do this only if you're looking at a purely off-road trailer-queen. Otherwise, you're limited to how much insurance coverage you can get, and even liability only is really expensive. My brother drives a civic that was stolen then recovered, with a salvage title. He got it super cheap but then ended up having to jump through hoops to get plates and insurance on it.

Hmm I missed the Front and rear lockers, just figured it had an elocker.

Like i said it would mostly just be wheeling and exploring around the area. Probably wouldn't drive it back to MT until I had gone through everything.

Sadly yea. There is still some great areas it hasn't gone full blown CO yet.

Hmm good point. Might have to call them and get an idea as well.

Probably depends on the insurance company. I almost bought a salvage title and when I talked to usaa about it they said it would be no issue to insure. They would just have to come out and inspect it to determine it's value.

Yeah, maybe it does just depend... actually, the more I think about it, I think he mentioned that they had to put a new VIN on it or something? Maybe it was because it was salvaged due to being stolen, not due to an accident. Still a good idea to call up your insurance agent and see what they say.
