I have it on my '07 - about 2 years now. Starting to give me trouble. Sometimes it won't find my iphone. The bluetooth drives me nuts. I got lazy and didn't connect the Aux cable. I can only connect via bluetooth. Make sure you hook up the aux cable if you get the kit. I need to pull the radio out and do that ...someday.

I'm still undecided as well. I like the way the oem jbl system looks, and I would benefit from having bluetooth if it doesn't crap out like many have experienced. I may have to just bite the bullet and get an aftermarket head unit.

I ordered one yesterday and will have it next week. This Alabama heat will let me know the quality of it. Will report back.

If you spend only about another $100 (check ebay) you can get a GPS with Blue Tooth & lifetime maps/traffic. The sound quality is not the best, but it does work well for phone calls. My 2011 does not have nav so this was a good option for me.

If you don't have a USB connector in your truck or an Aux jack in the radio (I think that's pre-2008) then the kit is great. The Bluetooth works 89% of the time on the first attempt. 99% on the second attempt. If it is not finding the signal, you can plug in the aux cable and play pandora or whatever else from your phone. The kit also has a USB line to charge your device. The phone function works the best and never gives me problems. It's a cheap and easy solution.

What about the Bluetooth music on an iPhone ? I heard that the volume is really low even if we put the both on max?

I never had issue with volume from any source. It's goes as loud as I want, same as the stock radio.

I put the GTA car kit in my '05 Taco, it works great, had to take out the radio to put it in, but I have no complaints, it's great

Another vote for the kit. Have it in my 05 and it's awesome. No problem pairing, and the sound quality is great! Only made one phone call so far, but it seems fine.

I just ordered it. I like the stock dash appearance too much and don't like any of the replacement bezel/install kit looks for aftermarket head units. I decided to also order a dual 3.5mm/usb panel mount unit that I can mount low key somewhere and have all the wires and box hidden, and just plug in when I need to. Truthfully I rarely ever answer my phone while I'm driving, and like listening to local radio stations still. But hey, it will come in useful at some point I'm sure, and definitely didn't break the bank. Just for kicks I hit up a local stereo place with the USA Spec kit, they wanted $300 for the kit, installed.

I had one for a year. I was not happy about the quality of it. Finally found a deal on a double din Kenwood with Bluetooth that has been perfect for a couple of years now.

What didn't you like about it? As in the sound quality or another issue?

After a couple of months it needed to be reset every time I started the truck. This involved accessing it by pulling out the cup holder and pulling the power line. Hopefully they are better quality now but I paid $120 for it and just remember hating it.

Aw weird, that would be very annoying. Does the module have a "reset" button or did you unplug it to reset it? Yeah, hopefully they are better quality.

Unplug. Every time. Which stressed the plug. Which meant I had to solder wires too.

Resetting, when needed, with the new deck is just done on the touch screen.

Aw yeah, lame. They say they have a one year warranty, so hopefully I won't have any trouble.....for at least a year haha. That is why I ordered it directly from them rather than Amazon or ebay etc. Time will tell. Thanks for your input though!
