I personally think its a 'mall crawler' or owner is just majorly OCD about dirt/mud and owns a nice steamer, or the lack of dirt could be from a recent transport (it does have Hawaii aloha team license plate frames)

then again that is a ton of cash to dump into something and not take it off the pavement

 

Does anyone know if NorCal does a spindle gusset swap like the dude in SoCal? Spindles gusseted are sent to you and you remove your stock spindles to replace the gusseted ones you received? This is something that I need to look into. I know I could contact the dude in SoCal but I would prefer to support NorCal guys.

This. Union got a guys job back that was universally hated at the refinery. When we went on strike, he stole a radio and threatened to kill a manager. They have him on video and audio recording doing it. He was let go right after the strike, but brought back after a year of union fighting.

The company just instituted a policy towards our bonus; every sick day used counts against your end of year bonus. Morale of the story, all the shit heads that burn through their sick days every year and skip out on mandatory call outs (fucking the people stuck on shift) get a reduced or no bonus. MF'ers were trying to vote the bonus down again this year. FFS.

 

Jerry is going to make plate shackle hangers soon. I just need to get the shackle off the frame. Ill probably unload the suspension. heat it up with a torch and take a BFH to it.

 

Disabilities come in many forms and besides, why couldn't someone have a lifted rig and be disabled?

 

Pretty sure I ordered a short bed 4x4 driveshaft. That box looks hella long. Can't wait to get off work and open it up.

 

This is the bottom line for me: if companies/corporations would pay employees a decent wage that keeps up with inflation and the cost of living, provide quality, affordable health insurance, and maybe a few other things I can't think of at the moment, there would be no need for unions. The flipside of that is if you're not earning your keep, you get shown the door, with no union to save your sorry ass.

Maybe. But I'm public sector. Who am I being protected from? You the tax payer?

The unions have no place in government. IMO.

Exactly. There's a few installers we can't stand and avoid at all costs from the hall if we're slammed and need more workers. We'd rather be short handed than use them. They're out of work in the busiest time? Red flag.

 

I'm public sector too, and I agree that they're kinda useless here (at least for the people that do their job).

 

I should have specified private vs. public sector. I work for the State of California and I've seen many people that should've been shown the door based solely on their (sometimes willful) lack of production that either got put on a "work program" or were just moved to another business area to become another manager's problem.
