For sure. I wouldn't even be thinking this hard into it, but its the exact color iw ant,1st gen, and a double cab for cheap. I miss having a toy and a project to keep me focused.

USAA does spoil us, numerous times I have been told/ heard about insurance issues that I have never experienced with USAA.

Sounds like a few guys are looking at it, he is gonna call me in a few hours to view it tonight.

The interior is damaged, his brother tried to rhino line it so dash and all that would probably need to be replaced.

Salvage title came from previous owner( his friend) with a loan on it. Front bumper, grill, corner lights, and part of door got damage. All of it was fixed and replaced except teh door. Door is fine he said, just has a small dent/gap on the bottom I guess.

So depending if it sells before I can go look at it, or if the interior or anything looks bad might come home with it.

I am kinda getting a feeling you may be correct. He said lots of ppl have called and want to view it. So makes me wonder why it isn't already gone. But I'll be damned if I won't give it alook.

Hell if it does have front and rear lockers its worth its price just in parts.

Totally worth a look. I bet most are just seeing the super cheap price on a DC 1st gen. But if that interior is what I'm visualizing, all but the most hardcore will prolly walk away.
How far down the line are you to see it?

I set a date with Corey to knock the frame stretch and cab swap next month. Then back to my house to finish the lots of little shit that comes with that.

Yea, he said he put new carpet in the back? So who knows I am imagine I would need to just cut it all out and redo it.

He didn't say, said a few people wnated to see it today and I said I would like to as well, so he is going to call. Sounded like he had an issue come up as we were on the phone so we cut the convo short.

He said it would probably need a new dash, but he had seat covers on the seats so I don't know if they are still ok or if they get messed up as well. If its just the floors and dash and trim trim pieces it is probably slavageable. If its the seats and everything it will be a full rip out, but an excuse for heated seats lol.

If I were buying a half-price, salvage title, high-mileage 1st gen and intended to use it for wheeling, I wouldn't give a shit what the interior looks like. :notsure:

You're not wrong, but I (admittedly) am picky as hell. If you are going to spend alot of time inside the vehicle, why wouldn't you want it comfortable and appealing?

Because it's already a beater and I would intend to use it that way.

If that's your opinion I would spend more money on something you'll be happy with from the start. You wouldn't be saving any money by the time you make it comfortable and appealing enough to satisfy your pickiness IMO.

I've seen your interior. I believe you. I wouldn't let Archer ride in your truck. :poking:

Lol once again you are probably right, we will have to see how bad the interior actually is.

Said it was in a wreck, front bumper, grilll corner lights (fender?) and door were damaged. everything was replaced except the door, because it wasn't bad.

He should buy my truck. Still has all original glass, never been wrecked, clean title, clean interior, clean engine. Only a quarter million miles. lots of life left.

I'd like to get $26,000.00 for it. That is the asking price of my future home. :D
But we already have one currently for sale on here (putt-putt) and I have no desire to compete. He needs to sell his first. Plus whatever he gets will help set the price for mine.

But true. :anonymous: I've given up.

Honestly it's a very good price. You won't find another for that. Really depends on how rough it is and how much you're willing to put up with. Curious to hear back what it actually looks like.

So you've got a pitted windshield you can't see out of and crappy suspension. I wouldn't buy that pile! :D
