I see this all the time. we have two guys that were just given to us because the Capitol didn't want them anymore. one was fired but they gave him a second chance and now he is my supervisors problem. I feel bad for him and would never take a supervisor spot in public service.

No f**king way I would either. I'd have to get a stupid-high salary to put up with all the stupid sh!t that comes with supervising/managing. If they had more power to fire people for poor performance (or getting caught jerking off in the bathroom), there would likely be a lot less BS to put up with and state government wouldn't have as many crap employees.

Maybe from special interests looking to divert the savings from reduced wages and benefits into projects or programs that make them and their cronies wealthier? That money goes somewhere, and it sure isn't going back into the pockets of taxpayers. Look at charter schools for example: publicly funded, privately run.

Nothing if it's your own bathroom. I don't know about you, but I'm not fond of standing at a urinal at work while some dude next to me is rubbing one out. At least go in the stall.

Company "A" offers a job at a certain pay, with certain benefits. Do you want the job? Yes. Great, you're hired. Do you want the job? No. O.k. Next. Simple. Now, if Company "A" wants to give even better benefits in order to get better quality employees, awesome. More power to them. Thats the beauty of the free market. You are Free to Choose.

Road side repairs made today. After Kings install Saturday I needed to get a front end alignment. Additionally, I had to return jack stands to work. Boss let me borrow them. As I entered the parking lot to work I hear something rubbing for a brief second. I did nothing. Took the truck to get the alignment at lunch. Didn't hear anything. Left the alignment shop and pulled into a gas station to fill up. Massive rubbing sound. While fueling I find that post Kings install, my aftermarket front mud flaps are rubbing with even a moderate turn. Off they go. Problem solved. However, even without the mud flap I am critically close to inner wheel well plastic liner at the back of the well. Crap.

Good news today is extended brakes lines arrived at the office.

I agree. I like having a contract and steady pay and hours, I just dislike paying out of pocket for someone that only works once every 3 years. Every single policy that's come out since our last contract the union has fought for no apparent reason. The bonus one. The only people that affect are the ones that were taking advantage of the sick policy. Everyone else that maybe takes two days a year will still be getting a full bonus. I notice ALOT of old timers that are super pro union are way to entitled to everything and feel like the company owes the so much. I feel glad I have a great job that pays well. We're this a non union job, I don't think I'd make as much money, or maybe I would, but there would be alot less mouth breathers here wasting air.

agreed. Use a stall. I'm just saying (and maybe ill regret saying this) there are some days where the dingle berries and blue and too uncomfortable to work with without some.... Relief. So its more productive to get into a stall, make yourself more comfortable, and get back to handling business. Haven't you seen Wolf of Wallstreet? Gotta get those numbers up kid. Those are rookie numbers

Les Schwab on Alhambra, in Martinez. One of my co-workers had a lifted Chevy with big ass tires and he said he never had an issue with their work. And, they're close to the office.
