I'm legitimately going to try to make this happen once I have a house out here. 2 and 4 post lifts aren't as expensive as you might think. Not cheap by any stretch, but doable if you're willing to hide away the piggy bank for a while.

Which is a shame because I remember when they were "top of the heap" batteries.

I keep drooling over the new lithium batteries, there's a group 34 battery that weighs 11 pounds (!!) and has more stable voltage/faster charging and so on, such that I think it would easily replace a 24F / 27F.

    https://www.braillebattery.com/index.php/braille/product_batteries/i34x

Wait until you see that price tag though!:eek::eek::eek:

All I ran for years when I competed in car stereo was Yellow or Blue top optima's. I had nothing but great success with them. In 2006 we bought a yellow top and it was dead in 5 months. They replaced it, next one died in a few months. This was in a stock Acura RL. Got a Red top, lasted about a year and a half. Got a Duralast gold, lasted 4 years before we sold the car. I've heard a lot of people bitch about their batteries and it just seems they are junk these days.

In other news, someone fucked around with the AC in my office to make it cooler over the weekend. Last week it was like a swamp in here. Well, mission accomplished to get it less humid but the condenser tray above my office filled up and right about 10am I got a steady drip coming in through the light fixture in the drop ceiling almost right over my desk. Thank God it happened today and I was able to get a couple buckets or the mess would have been amazing. Had to shut off the AC to my office and the carpet got pretty wet. I have a tiny desk fan that's keeping me from dying. Good news is I'm leaving at 2 to take my girls to their doc for wellness checkups but the office is officially a disaster.

    Fucking mondays.

(And my blower motor resistor in the taco took a shit over the weekend, too.)

32 bucks at AutoZone for the resistor. Replaced mine over the weekend too.

Computer systems have been down all day at work. Once it comes back online (if that happens today) we have to go back and input everything we've done for the day. Last time this happened they closed at 6 and weren't finished until after 11... yay overtime

I see what you did there :rasta:

So I dont know if any if you get the HF catalog but they've got the 1.5ton aluminum floorjack for 59$.

Is this a good buy to mount in the truck?

I think it is a good weight for picking it up and moving it around from truck to trail. Only thing is lift height isn't much. Might need to get one of those pucks to use with it.

I almost bout the 1.5 ton but was advised it would struggle to lift the truck.

I know you can buy those extension kits, but it shouldnt be too difficult to fabricate up something?

I also wonder about the weight. Maybe the 2-3ton is on sale also.

Looking on their website at the aluminum jacks you don't get much more height. The 3 tin is just under 20 inches and weighs 55. Contrast that with the 2 ton steel, lift height is 23 inches but weighs 94 pounds.

I think the extensions you can buy are 4 or 6 inches. If it is 6 that would take the 1.5 to 20 inches. That should work for you truck in most situations.

Single tire changes works good. If you lift up one wheel at a time its fine, if you are trying to lift the whole truck off the ground from the center its not big enough. So as a truck jack it works for me, as a garage jack its a little weak
