We've had a ton of requests for a video of the SSP in action. Finally (between all of the kids activities, softball leagues, etc), we had a chance to complete one.

For anyone who is interested, it has been uploaded to our website and to YouTube.
    www.dz-custom-innovations.com

We uploaded it in two parts, so be sure to watch Part 1 first, which covers the basics of the operation, the shift-map, and the introductory drive. Part 2 contains a comparison between drive and SSP for various driving situations.

It would easily take at least an hour to cover all of the driving aspects of the SSP. In order to keep the video to a reasonable length, we tried to capture most of the major features in these videos.

Are SSP users still using ECT mode?

With the updated shift maps from Toyota, is SSP still relevant?

Any info on MPG vs OEM?

The tacoma in the video is a 2016 and has had all of the latest transmission TSB updates applied. No appreciable change in the shift map with any of those from Toyota.. Unless you're aware of something that Im not!

You can find a bit feedback regarding fuel mileage among the miles and miles of the original thread..
Feedback has been mixed, many were seeing slight improvements, some were seeing slight reductions. Most of the changes were minimal.

I wonder if the location of filming has something to do with it then.

My truck shifts nothing like the OEM mapping displays in yours. Agree that watching the way yours does, I would want something to fix that quick.

Installed mine in late July. I really didn't like the way it held 4th gear until mid to high 50mph range. I emailed and ask if I could return and have it reprogrammed to shift to 5th earlier. DZ replied that they could send me a chip to shift at the speed that fits my personal preference. Cost was only $12.00. It arrived 3 days later and was easily installed. Great customer service.
