What's up guys my name is Eliot. I've been lurking for a couple months now but decided not to join until I got my Tacoma and here it is!!!!

It's a Green 04' PreRunner SR5 with the TRD Off-Road Package-42K miles on it. Picked it up in Kendall yesterday! It drives like a dream. I originally had my heart set on a 2nd gen. but when I test-drove this one I fell in love with it the very first second I hit the gas. As for me, I'm a junior in HS, I run cross country, and I'm just a typical 16-year old(Not quite I turn 16 Tues.). I hope to mod it out, and me and some friends are planning an overlanding trip the summer after we graduate and my Taco will be our ride.

Unfourtanetly, as with anything used, there are some things that need fixing/replacement. First is my windshield, It has a big crack from a rock, I also have no antennae-no radio reception, and the biggest bummer, I have a screw stuck in the left-rear tire, ran it over on the way home. Luckily no leak. (You can see the saliva test remnants lol) Here's a pic:

Anyways, that's my truck and a little bit about me. Thanks for having me on this site, it's a great resource and I'm glad it's here. Oh, and one last pic, a candid one my mom took of me drooling over my Taco, don't act like you don't know the feeling.... ;)

    Welcome to TW.

Use your tire issue as an excuse to buy a lift and some better tires.

The only thing missing from that Tacoma are pontoons. All that rain you had this last week.

I'd love to but all my money is going towards gas for now, I did have to get a new set of tires for it because the tread was almost completely gone, so it's in the shop now. The mechanic told us that the tires wouldn't be safe if driven like 10 more miles, not sure if he was just trying to make a sale, but if not I consider myself lucky to have not suffered a blowout driving all the way across the state from Miami. Which by the way I only burned about a quarter tank of gas (about 60mph average-US41). Very Nice!:bananadance::thumbsup:

What tires you end up getting?

    Edit:

Your tires don't look much worse than mine...

I'm just getting another set of the BFG Rugged Trails, if I had known ahead of time I would have explored other options, it was sort of a spur of the moment thing, we were just going to get a plug for the screw but ended up leaving it there. All of the wear was on the inside of the tire, and could only be seen on the front tires if they were fully turned. Later down the road when I have more time to do my research I'll get some better ones.
