88 toyota 4 runner v6 will not fire

    Have a 88 toyota 4 runner v6. Is this a interference motor? Have spark, fuel ,air, will not fire at all. Not even on starting fluid. 234.000 miles daughter said it made a pop sound when she turned it off????? HELP ?

    Rotor button still turns. You think Im okay on valves? I think it jumped a few teeth?

    4" lift after market front bumper bed mount lightbar/roll bar (4)6" kc's on the roll bar (2) kc flat back bumper mounts f/r gears for the 33's
    Pretty sure those are non-interference. My 91 v6 is non-interference.

    might have to check the belt for slack. Then do a compression check if your worried about the valves

    Vist "YOTATECH", I'm sure someone there has had your problem......that site has been gold for my 87 4Runner 22RE, 93 Toyota Pickup 3.0 V6 & my 88 4Runner 3.0 V6.

    Well...They are listed as an interferance engine up thru 89...

    Mines listed as non-interference or so thats what they say. Maybe it took them a few years to think about it. lol
