I knew I got out of rc awhile ago I had a good damn reason. These things are money pits.

Screw holding the servo on the axle came out and now I don't have steering. First shocks, hubs, links, servo ram, now screw. :annoyed:

Noticing the articulation isn't exactly as I'd hoped. What's the best said of longer shocks I can buy?

Also wondering where the best place to discover cool parts for this bad boy are?

Longer shocks are not always the best solution. Too much articulation can also hinder its crawling abilities, too. That said, I tend to stick with OEM. I run 92mm front Yeti shocks all around on my formally 100mm shocked Wraith. It does much better with softer springs. On my SCX10 I used soft springs and the 100mm Wraith shocks. Recycled them. Lots of people will say get an equivalent length Traxxas Powerstrokes.

It's easiest to tune with spring rates and various shock oil viscosities.

I had ordered a Wraith. By the time the 15th came around, they changed the shipping date to August. This kit was readily available so I went with the scx

Will taking out a bit of shock oil possibly help? I used the 30w they gave me and filled it all the way up. The shock doesn't cycle all the way down. Only about 70%

It may help. I actually count the drops it takes to fill up each shock from empty. You'll need to leave a littleness space for the bladder on the underside of the shock cap.

Can you compress them off the truck in your hand? It could also be a stiff spring and a light rig if it's only when it's mounted.

I just ordered a set of the Duratrax Deepwoods. They're reasonably priced but have mixed reviews. They're 150mm tall according to specs yet reviews say they're actually taller. For what works out to $10/tire I figured I'd give them a try.

Hopefully they'll pull in some at the wheel and fill out with a decent set of dual stage foams TBD when I can get my hands on them to order some.

They've got a couple of good looking, burly tires. There are some Chinese clones or vice versa but the Duratrax supposedly has better rubber.

If they're decent to good I may try a set of these for the Wraith, too. I think they were 135mm or so.

My SCX10 is finally finished. Only thing I can't figure out how to do is make the reverse faster. I Programmed the ESC to 75% MAX Reverse speed. It's still insanely slow. Foward is fast enough, I realize crawlers are not fast at all. Anyone have a clue how to accomplish that? I have a Futaba 4PL of that helps.
