Looking to see how people like them. I was going to get some steel RCI skids but I feel like these will have a higher chance of lining right up with the ARB bumper

First off I don't have them so I can't help you there.

That being said just on a quick review it looks like they are made with 3 mm steel? Aren't most skids made by other companies and shops based off at least 1/4" plate. The ARB skids seem a bit thin to me.

Its equal to getting a 1/8 aluminum skidplate, 3/16 is the thinnest i would personally go for a skidplate

Agreed, just seems silly thin like OEM skids you'd find on a Ford FX4.

I actually ended up getting all pelfreybilt steel 3/16 and after seeing the damage that can be done to the steel ones I wouldn't get aluminum or thinner steel. Got them free because the guy went to 1/4 steel. I'd like 1/4 steel but it would crush me taking them off for any reason

Oreo Cat, thanks for the reply. Pelfreybilt seems the way to go!

I'd go pelfrey steel. Aluminum if it won't touch real rocks. Or 1/4 BAMF if needed

Don’t do Pelfreybilt if you hit the rocks.

As you can see they don’t hold up to true abuse

I like their skids, but not strong enough for this kind of use.

they do their job, I'd like BAMF but I'm not sure want to spend the money when I have some pelfreybilt already

If you like your skids to get folded then I guess you could say they do their job. Did they protect my truck ? Yes
Are they nearly un-usable after a few trip? Yes.
My ifs skid got bent to shit as well. Tranny skid is also bowed. They are nice skids but cannot hold up on rocks. I will be replacing them with bamf skids or making my own.

If you have Pelfreybilt then run them for sure, but if I wanna buying brand new I would not go Pelfreybilt if I was planning some serious off-roading.

mine are pretty bent up but they work for being free, definitely better than ARB skids though. Are there any other 1/4 skids aside from BAMF?

I have no problems with my 3/16 steel All-pro skid set, I have abused them pretty bad with no folding, or anything.

Removed the 2" drop down for the exhaust on my Transfer case / Exhaust skid, love it now. No more grinding that drop down on everything.

Dont hate on the all pro of it all, they have quality products if you can get your hands on them with out dealing with their customer service.

All pro’s mid skid is kind of a joke though. Horrible if you’re sliding n a rock. My buddy has all pro full set and they are just as bent as mine.
