. This is why I avoid truck stops..and MD.

I don't wave. I used to when I rode bikes, but never in a car/truck. There's just too many of them out here and I can't deal with rejection.

No. 2 out of 3 vehicles on Guam are Tacomas, my hand would fall off from over-waving.

Jeep owners have to wave and be friendly because they might need help around the next bend when they break down. Tacoma owners are fine all by ourselves in our own little taco-worlds. We need no one.

Almost never get any waves. I'm beginning to think that it's the male equivalent of two women having the same outfit.
When I drive my Scout, my arm gets tired from waving.

I was picking up some new rose bushes this morning at Agway and as I was leaving I saw a Blazing Blue (or whatever the new blue is) getting a load of compost. He was obviously captivated by my grille/truck and I was obviously admiring his, so we both gave a little wave and a nod.

Down here in the Rural South we pretty much wave at everybody, we call it "speaking to someone". We may be looked upon as ignorant Rednecks but we still have some manners.

I live in the city and rarely see Tacos. Being the friendly guy I am I wave at every one I see. Not once have I been acknowledged....the rejection is real.

I even happened to see TWO Pros in the past month in the city....unicorn sighting! One cement and one cavalry blue....rejected again!

Used to do the jeep wave or peace sign when I had my jeep. Don't do the taco wave but i was leaving a shopping centre the other day when another cement taco turned in so I waved and he waved back which dorky as it is seemed pretty cool so I'll probably wave at other cement tacos until one stiffs me then get jaded at all of them and stop waving all together

I'm far more likely to do the wave when I'm in my 1993 Mercedes E class convertible and see another, this model was only sold for 3 years in the US with a total import of a few 1000, and a few dozen of them are local here... from my motorcycle daze, my default wave is the 'peace' 2 finger V... There's just way too many Tacomas out there...

I've received head nods and have returned head nods in-kind, but generally no. Sometimes I see another Tacoma heading towards me and mentally prep for a finger pistol duel/wave/thumbs-up, but never panes out.

Side story: The same week I bought my Tacoma, I'm driving it through town with my friend in the passenger seat. As we turn the corner, there I see a 3rd gen Inferno red parked on the side of the street. For shits and giggles, I started waving at the inferno red taco and talking to my truck "Oh hey buddy, there's one of your cousins!". My friend shoots me a WTF?! look.

Few miles later, I see another 3rd gen parked on the street, and again talking to my truck "Oh wow, look! Another cousin! He's a sporty version of you". This time, no reaction from friend in passenger seat, but i tell he's getting annoyed.

Sure as shit, I see another taco approaching. I start waving and before I can even say anything, friend in passenger seat has a mild conniption, "Awe GTFO! You guys do some sort of Jeep wave shit?! Seriously?!" LMAO for a good while.
