It fits in between the wheel well of the truck. The battery powered pump is a nice feature for pressure. It is also very easy to change out the wand for a shower head.

I like the pump on that, I just like the form factor of the tube

You can just get a cheapo electric tire inflator pump and hook it on the schraeder valve. I am going to use my backup Slime pump for pressurizing mine.

and here I am overthinking it, i was thinking eventually i'll get an onboard air compressor and put on an adjustable pressure regulator to keep it at a somewhat consistent pressure.

The Slime compressor is supposed to go to 100 psi (yeah right), I bought a 110 psi pressure relief just in case.

Will the cheaper inflators supply enough CFM /duty cycle to keep that tube pressurized without overworking the motor? Eventually the tube will deplete itself and the air volume looks like it may end up being larger than a normal vehicle tire.

that is a good question, this tube holds ~3.5 gallons so you're right as the water drains more air will be needed. I know in the long run I'll get the ARB or VIAIR compressor with a pressure regulator adjustment knob to have it run while it's in use.

@GPsevinSixx there was a group buy for on demand water pump, i need to find that post, that might be a good solution.

Yeah, just something to consider... not sure what the volume of a normal passenger car tire is, but love that you carried through with the project! Maybe consider some type of thermal radiation blanket or partial sock for the tube to prevent super heating of the liquids inside.

yup already thought about that, they sell rolls of that reflective insulation I could use as a thermal blanket. Sitting in that bed will definitely heat up that tube and ABS doesn't like it either
