I will be providing input and following this.

Tune and Spec U system installed and now have stuttering. Did not have it prior to Tune or with just the Tune.

Now will stutter any time >moderate load with minimal throttle input. It is very noticeable in 4 Lo but will do it in all modes.

Will return to stock file tonight and see if it goes away with just the exhaust.

No CEL.

Edit: I have over 1K miles on tune now. Not on CPS recall list.

 

Is it easy to reproduce? If so, a video would be nice

Seriously though, I'm really interested.

 

Not sure it would show in a video as it is very small in most driving conditions. It shows up big time and would be noticed in 4 LO. Not sure I have time to do the 4 LO thing. I do not think it is good for the truck. That is why I am pulling the tune file. It is like a carbureted engine running out of gas, or a float adjusted to low, just not as violent.

 

Here is how I can get it to "stutter".

Put the truck in drive and get it to any speed that has the power required (amount of gas pedal) is almost nothing. You only have a fraction of an inch of gas pedal depressed but are still maintaining the same speed. The feeling is very small but it will be like the engine is going on and off. This is not a big movement or strong feeling.

 

Mine literally feels like it's running out of gas. I don't think a video would show it. You can see the shifter jump around though.

Flashed back to the stock file last night. Running URD exhaust only.

 

So basically the stuttering is happening with the those who have the high flowing cat deleted URD exhaust?

 

Some have had it just with the tune I believe

 

Oh ok. This is why its a good idea to log data and analyze information. Without logging its just a guessing game.

 

I don't have the high flowing exhaust. I do have an 18 inch Magnaflow welded in though.
