I did this on mine even orange matching the rest of the lighting but just didn't dig the added chrome rings and lack of daytime indicator without marking it more somehow. Just went back with oems so if anyone with gen2 orange lighting wants a black set like in this pic, lemme know. They fit tight like oems on my 08 climate control panel. Didn't need any shimming or clips pulled from oems.

One thing with a white truck it does not show the dirt unless you are close to it. That why I like my white truck!!

If you have a lot of accessories, then I would change to a yellow top. I originally had a red top in my Ranger, but it started getting weak at a young age. Turns out I really should have purchased the yellow. The folks at the battery store upgraded me at a good price and I saw no decrease in starting power. Sold the truck years later with the battery still going strong. Apparently the redtops are for older large displacement engines that need more staring power, while the yellows have a better duty cycle.

I had a small mod day... I took my truck to the car was to spray off as much mud as i could, took the dogs to the park, stopped by home depot on the way home and bought an ax & shovel to mount with the mounts i sell. Mostly because i wanted the combo in the back at all times, and partly so that i could get some photos to post on my website.

While i was at it, i decided to hook up a couple mounts for my fishing poles. I used the small quick fist mounts to hold the handles and then i used velcro to hold the tips of the rods. I figured the velcro is a cheap and easy way to secure the tips.
