Ferd FTW. I wouldn't get a Titan just for the simple fact that they got mercilessly beaten with the ugly stick. I'm still a fan of the F150s even though it's apparently going to be a turd in a couple years

No, No, No. You read it wrong. It'll be a turd when the '18's come out in a month as yours will be 5 years old!

    @js312 - For full size 1/2 ton, I'd go with the F150...

What do you guys do with your old electronics? I have stuff that works, but is out-dated. The stuff probably isn't worth the effort of trying to sell, but I'd hate to just throw it out.

Oh, right. My bad. Good to know I have a little time left.
Depending on what it is, I just toss it. A lot of times it kills me to do so but if it's old, out dated and I have no legitimate use for it, just toss it.

My problem with Ford is the cab. I hate extended cabs, but on a full size a crew cab is ridiculous for someone with no kids, especially with a 6-1/2 ft bed (and I'm not willing to go under 6 ft). The Tundra double cab is a nice median.

Stuff like old computers (and parts), home recievers, car recievers, etc...

With smartphones and portable bluetooth speakers, doesn't even seem worth it to save the stereos to set up in the garage/basement

We still have 2 stereo systems setup in our house (receiver, decks, standalone wired speakers)

My work has a technology recycling day twice a year. I just bring any old stuff and give it to them. I can look up the company they use and pass it along since they take stuff from anyone.

Actually, for computers, I remove the hard drives. For cell phones, I delete any important stuff and then reset them to factory a few times. Then they go to electronics recycling...

Just so you know, the crew cab bed is barely shy of 6'. They call it a 5' bed but I put a 4' x 6' stall mat in there and only shaved about 2-3" off of it and that's with the plastic bed liner in place which takes some room also.

I actually like the extended cab; gives access to both the front and the rear without having to work around a door. And on the new ones the rear door folds completely around until it's parallel with the bed.

I want a mag gray Limited TRD Off Road.

I kind of miss having leather since it was so easy to keep clean. If an SR5 was substantially cheaper, I'd put heated leather into one, but I don't think there is a huge difference in price.

Yes, but my Tacoma is just over 6' and there have been many times where the length has been just barely enough or just barely too small. I'd hate to lose a few inches.

If I were to go the Ford route, I'd rather have an extended cab with the bigger bed than a crew cab anyway.

They've been doing that 180 degree door for a while now. People seem to either love or hate the rear suicide door. I believe Ford is now the only one still doing it for their extended cabs. Personally, I like it much better than having a rear conventional door because, with both doors open on one side, you can fit large items in the back seat area, like tool boxes for example.

Can't say I blame you there. Regardless, going to a full size it's nice to be able to fit sheet goods between the wheel wells!

Same here, for the same reason. Prior to shopping around before I bought my '16 though I hadn't seen one do the fold-around before. Was used to the 90 degree open on the Tacoma AC

I love that about the '69 and the '84, with one added bonus; put sheets of plywood in the back and you can still close the tailgate.

I'm sure it is. My lawn tractor's mowing deck is about two inches too wide for the wheel wells on my Tacoma. If it cleared them, I'm pretty sure I could drive in and close the tailgate.

Yeah, I have a friend with an '06 Titan with 180 degree doors.

I just hate opening one door to open another, and the space in the back seems cramped compared to my double cab Tacoma. That's why I like the Tundra double cab so much. It's nearly identical in space to the double cab Tacoma without the ridiculous crew cab back seat that you could pile 15 people into.
