Prayer for my Marriage

I've heard it perfectly said at the bottom of the pinnacle is the married couple and at the top is Jesus, the closer you both get to Him you get to each other. Marriage is a decision to live selfless. Our problems often revolve around why the other person isn't meeting our needs. There so much involved when two people come together as one. I will definitely pray for the both of you brother. Peace in Christ!

My prayers are with you man!! I pray that Heavenly Father blesses you all with the best situation possible. Remember that this life is set up for progression and that every struggle you face determines your growth. If you keep Christ in your heart and you continue to push forward, the Lord will bless you. We wouldn't know Joy if we didn't know pain. I'm sorry that you are experiencing the pain at this time but I pray that you and everyone involved will be able to pull through and experience the utmost Joy once you've overcome this hurdle!

 

I wish the best of luck to you - fathers always get shafted yet they tend to be the more emotionally stable/reliable parent.

Good luck man. I feel for you, hopefully things get better and in your kids best interests (I have two of my own). Been following your thread off and on since the beginning. Recently my wife and I of 14 years separated and I recently re-read the thread from start to finish. Been trying to work things out, but I think she has made her mind up and no changing it once that is done.

If a woman leaves a man it's almost always because she thinks the grass is Greener.
And rarely is that the reality.

 

Looking forward to the positive update.

 

My ex-wife left me for a...get this, a cruise boat member. But through the bad, I found a woman (my current wife) who loves me for who I am. My ex has had nothing but misery since our divorce. I am so grateful that my daughter was 18 and we didn't have to go through child custody. But just because she was 18, doesn't mean that she didn't feel torn and it didn't help that my ex had nothing to do with her (my daughter) after we separated.

 

Well the judge didn't issue an order regarding schooling today...but instead issued an order granting me, the father, the power to decide where she will attend school. Biggest factors were she's the one who moved away and out of the district, I kept the home, which was actually the second home we purchased in the district. So she couldn't argue that there wasn't an understanding she would have attended there had we remained married. The other factor was the fact that she got remarried and my daughter has to share a room over there with a young boy. The judge also stated that that was not to be a permanent living situation while at her mother's.

All in all I'm thrilled with the outcome. but I am thankful I took the high road through both this and the divorce. I never got nasty, I trusted the system (as much as its set up against fathers), trusted and held firm to what I believed to be right and in her best interest, and kept my faith. I was at a place where I would ultimately accept whatever decision had been made, since the authorities have been put in place by God, but I'm overwhelmed at the ruling.

On another note, afterwards my ex said she agreed with all my arguments regarding Eva's benefit, but that it sure would have been more convenient for her to have Eva attend school by her, and that she had to try. Yup, bc it didn't cost her a thing. No time off work, no lawyer, just to be a PITA. Welcome to my life. thanks for sharing in it with me.

I haven't been on TacomaWorld since 2014 when we first heard your relationship was a little rocky. Just today, I logged back in since then. Oddly enough, the same day you updated this thread. You're back in my prayers, dude. Hope things continue to get better for you. Happy you're able to provide a good life for your daughter. Keep it up!
